There are Christians who have reasons to believe that the Blessed Virgin Mary was without sin, remained a Virgin, is the Daughter, Spouse, and Mother of God, Co-Redemptrix, the Queen of Heaven, and so on. There are Christians who believe that the former are believing lies from Satan. I have a couple of questions for the latter:

Why would Satan speak about the Blessed Virgin Mary in such ways, when he hated Mary's Son to the point of killing Him, and so how much more would he hate His Mother for bringing Him into the world?

Furthermore, Satan wants to lead people away from God, and the Blessed Virgin Mary wants to help lead people to God, and thus, wouldn't it be more befitting of Satan to either downplay or deny Who the Blessed Virgin Mary is, what She's done and does, and the degree of influence that She has, and so on, and get people to believe that, and lead them away from God? Because for Satan to speak of the Blessed Virgin Mary in ways that honor Her and draws people to Her Son, and thus closer to God, is the exact opposite effect of what he wants, don't you think?

Satan wants to lead people away from God,

And the worship, prayers to Mary etc do just that, what should be going to God is going to Mary.

You'll find it difficult to meet someone who worships the Blessed Virgin Mary as a god though. Do you leave out the fact that Catholics say they worship the One God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit because it doesn't fit into your anti-Catholic polemics?

Catholic prayers to Mary are requests for Mary's intercession, meaning she is asked to pray to God on behalf of the person praying.

Mary is seen as a key figure in salvation history, having brought Jesus, the Son of God, into the world. Her prayers are considered powerful because of her closeness to God and her Son.

Common prayers to Mary include the Hail Mary, Memorare, and Salve Regina. These prayers often ask Mary to pray for our needs and intercede for us with God.

The concept of asking others, including saints and angels, to pray for us is a common practice in many Christian traditions, including Catholicism. Catholics believe that saints in Heaven can intercede for us before God, just as friends or family members can pray for us on earth.

Thefore, why would Satan want people to do the above, when he hated Mary's Son to the point of killing Him, and so how much more would he hate His Mother for bringing Him into the world?

Therefore, wouldn't it be more befitting of Satan to either downplay or deny Who the Blessed Virgin Mary is, what She's done and does, and the degree of influence that She had and has, and so on, and get people to believe that, and lead them away from God? Because for Satan to speak of the Blessed Virgin Mary in ways that honor Her and draws people to Her Son, and thus closer to God, is the exact opposite effect of what he wants, don't you think?

You just described why Satan is using Mariology to detract from going straight to Jesus Christ. There is no possible way to short cut a prayer. Jesus is the mediator and Its Jesus Christ or nothing.

Jesus is the mediator.

  • The Concept of Mediation:
A mediator is someone who intervenes to bring about understanding or a settlement between opposing parties. In this case, the parties are God and humanity, who are estranged due to sin.

  • Jesus as the Mediator:
Jesus is seen as the perfect mediator because he is both fully God and fully human. This dual nature allows him to understand both the divine and human sides of the conflict.

  • Mediation Through Sacrifice:
Jesus's death on the cross is understood as the ultimate sacrifice that atones for human sin and reconciles humanity with God.

  • Mediation as Intercession: Jesus is also understood to intercede for believers before God, advocating for their needs and blessings.

  • The Only Mediator:
The Bible emphasizes that Jesus is the only mediator. This is not to say that humans cannot participate in mediating relationships with others, but it highlights Jesus' unique role in reconciling humanity with God

And all that has nothing to do with what we're talking about. So, re-read my post, and answer the questions please.

Furthermore, Satan wants to lead people away from God, and the Blessed Virgin Mary wants to help lead people to God,

Its not NT teaching, that states that Mary "ascended to heaven, in a dead body".. or that "mary is perpetual virgin".. or that "mary is helping Jesus bring souls into heaven, as a mediatrix".

See all that?
That is "cult of Mary" teaching, that is not found in any bible.......and so, its to be denied and resisted and called out as heresy, because its all "man made" hyper-religious nonsense, that is created by the "cult of mary"., and thats just a very small sample of what this cult has created as THEIR theology, that is not found in any bible.

Mary can't mediate in place of Jesus

As I said, Jesus is the mediator.

So, is misrepresenting Catholics all you've got to offer?

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6

Mary is honored among women but she was a vessel used of God as we all are. Some used for the good and some not.
Plus, the bible explicitly states that Mary indeed did have children after given birth to Jesus. Joseph knew her not TILL AFTER giving birth to her FIRST begotten, not ONLY begotten son as Jesus is to God the Father.

So, you've ruled out the possibility that your interpretations of certain scriptural verses could be mistaken?

There's a lot that isn't stated in Scripture but said elsewhere. And, wouldn't it be more befitting of Satan to either downplay or deny Who the Blessed Virgin Mary is, what She's done and does, and the degree of influence that She has had and has, and so on, and get people to believe that, and lead them away from God? That is a good point...thank you....I think we can all misinterpret scripture.....as we can see on this forum...lots of arguments over interpretation of scripture.

Looking at the plain meaning, I sure do not doubt it.

Look how many denominations sprouted off of the Catholic Church and they all claim "plain meaning". They can't all be right. So, how did you rule out the possibility that your interpretation of certain scriptural verses are wrong?

That is a good question..lol.

That's why I started this thread to have people use their God-given reason and I'm asking people: "Why would Satan speak about the Blessed Virgin Mary in such ways, when he hated Mary's Son to the point of killing Him, and so how much more would he hate His Mother for bringing Him into the world? Wouldn't it be more befitting of Satan to either downplay or deny Who the Blessed Virgin Mary is, what She's done and does, and the degree of influence that She has, and so on, and get people to believe that, and lead them away from God?
