I suggest that you read through the Gospel of John. He presents three Persons of God--the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. And then search for the term "one God" in all of Scripture. You will see the Trinity emerging as its truth. The Trinity is a mystery that human minds cannot solve with our puny minds that cannot reach into the depths of our great God. We need to humble ourselves to accept the mysteries of God, who is far beyond us (Isaiah 55:8-9).
1Co 2:6-8
We speak wisdom, however, among them that are full grown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:
but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which
God FOREORDAINED before the worlds unto our glory:
which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory
1Ti 3:16
And without controversy
GREAT is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Everything we need to know is in scripture and we should not go beyond what is written. We don't need to go to anyone for the truth unless they are just pointing us to scriptures that we don't know or hadn't taken notice of. Personally I don't like to get into arguing the finer points of the concept of trinity, but I believe it's vital to understand and believe/accept Who Christ is in His deity.
If it's any help to anyone, I believe according to the scripture above, that Jesus was foreordained in the beginning....not that He was literally created and begotten in the beginning of the world. But I think we can take it that this is in the same sense that the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world, not literally, but a done deal as far as God was concerned in His foreknowledge and foreordaining, and who exists outside the limitations of time.
