I’m not ignoring scripture, I’m asking you, how can water make your spirit Born Again?

What is the significance of the water.?

Do you think that the water makes you repent?

Tell me what the water does, then I might understand?

What is Gods meaning of water?

Why is water needed?
It is simple really. The water itself holds not magical or mystical properties. The submission to the purification ritual does. Purification through water has been the means of purification for thousands of years by the time of this writing. For people of Israel, no question would even arise regarding using water. They saw it at the temple repeatedly.

It is not what the water does, it is what Yahweh does when we submit to the sacrament of Baptism.

As for why Yahweh required this act, a long discussion could take place, but it not really necessary. Jesus instructed his disciple to baptize those who are converted - male and female. The patriarchal society was amended so that there was no longer male or female. Under the old covenant, males were circumcized demonstrating their acceptance of the terms of the Old Covenant, and their submission brought the females along with them.

Under the New Covenant, females made their own decisions and accepted the terms of the New Covenant by baptism. So, all converts became accepting the New Covenant - and all the blessings and responsibilities - through baptism.

Oh crikey, me no understanding...sorry, sounds like manmade theology.

No offence....

Well I guess you have shown that here in your questioning the NT gospel.

There can be no question whatsoever, that Acts 2:38 speaks of baptism in water.
Nope

what I question is a futile attempt to interpret a passage incorrectly by refusing to actually study the passage in question. and take it with the rest of the word.

Your refusal to study acts 2 will come back to bite you one day,

Amniotic fluid is absolutely not part of scripture. Nobody walking the earth at that time has NOT been born in that fluid.

nobody has not been? Thats a double negative, can you explain?
Consider the purification in water. For thousands of years, water was the means of purification for the priests and people. They would never question water's part in rituals. It is only since the first century and the Greek and Roman influence was there ever a question. When a baptism verse does not mention "water," it is because it is already a known part of the cleansing.

If someone wrote that "it is light out" but didn't mention the sun, shall we assume that the sun has nothing to do with the light? That is how your questions sounds. If it is not mentioned, then it is not there.
I have no idea what your rambling about, I assume you men John 3?

Jesus said we must be born again, We must be born of water and spirit.

Nicodemus could not comprehend what he meant, so he asked him what do these things mean

Jesus explained

As moses lifted the serpent, so to must the son of man be lifted up. that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes will nto perish but has everlasting life. For the son was not sent to judge the world. but that the world might be saved. he who believes is not condemned, he who does not believe is condemned already.

This is how one is born again, this is how one is born of water and spirit

NO mention of baptism, BECAUSE IT IS NOT REQUIRED OR PART OF THE GOSPEL

That you need an explanation for that perfectly good and valid double negative illustrates quite nicely how your soteriology has gone so far awry.

Answer this.. @JBO

Right now, there are many who will go to hell today, and a lot of them were water baptized, at least once.

Like this...>"in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit".....or like this..>"In Jesus Name"..

So, Why did they Go to Hell anyway??

First of all, there are none in hell yet. That comes after Jesus returns and all have stood before Bema, the judgment seat of Jesus. But that is probably best held for another topic discussion.

Second, any who have died and have not been saved by grace through faith have not been saved because they did not believe, i.e., they have not had faith in God, when they died, no matter whether they were baptized or not.

What cult teaches that there is "no hell yet"?

Care to name your denomination?

Also, The "bema" seat is for the born again..
So, sinners. in their sin, unforgiven, are not born again, and will not be at that Judgment.
They get this one..

Revelation 20:11

That one is for the SINNERS, never born again.

, they have not had faith in God, when they died, no matter whether they were baptized or not.

People who have been told that "repent and be baptized", are led to believe that the Water has "washed away their sin".

It didnt..

So, those people are still in their sin, and if they die today, they go to Hell.

That is not only a stupid statement, it is terribly offensive. I don't make that claim. In fact, I claim just the opposite.
Offensive as it may be, You do. you can deny it all you want.

You offend me and my God everytime you tell me that you must earn your salvation by replacing the baptism of God with the baptism of man.

It is offensive because you are trying to tell me what I said and in doing so, you lie. I didn't say what you claim I said. That is why I said it is stupid.
You offend me and my God everytime you tell me that you must earn your salvation by replacing the baptism of God with the baptism of man.
I have not claimed you have said something you didn't. I have only disagreed with your terribly faulty soteriology. If you cannot handle disagreement and have to lie about it, then you really shouldn't be here engaging in forum discussions.

And by the way, you lie again. I have never told you that you must earn your salvation. It would seem that your capacity for comprehensive reading is severely limited.

what a joke!
There is nothing wrong or improper about the double negative. It is used sometimes for emphasis. The problem with the double negative arises when someone uses it improperly and ends up actually saying just the opposite of what was intended.

But you didn't know that did you. That only again demonstrates a limited ability for comprehensive reading.

And Peter, who was the Act 2:38 preacher, did not understand the Gospel of the Grace of God, until Acts 15. = Not until He was taught it by Paul.
The 11 disciple, including Matthias the chosen 12th, have firsthand witnessing and discipleship to the repentance doctrine of John the Baptist. And furthermore the Kingdom of GOD doctrine of Lord Jesus Christ from the sermon on the mount. There were many other things Jesus wanted to share with them but they were not able to grasp them all in His short time with them.

Therefore after He ascended, the Comforter/Helper the Holy Ghost was imparted in them. Among other things, He is to lead them into the full truth, from what they've been already disciple in. To a certain extend they understood and by the impartation of the fiery tongues, they were able to minister to the mass from the house top. About 3.000 souls were added unto them, and subject to repentance and baptism of water for the remission of sins, and they shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, were ministered unto them (verse 38).

As we know after John the Baptist, Jesus and His disciples did continue exactly and were proclaiming repentance and baptizing people with water for the remission of sins. And documented, Apostle Peter and Philip did follow this legacy in yet baptizing souls with water, apart from them even receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 8:36/10:47&48)

Acts 2:
38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 16:

18. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church: and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19. And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven.

And Apostle Peter did loose on earth and is already loosed in Heaven.

Acts 10:
47. Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48. And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. .....................

Was Apostle Paul himself baptized with water?

Acts 9:
18. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

To conclude, water baptism is carried out for the remission of sins, period

As to my understanding, the Holy Ghost lead Apostle Paul to the extended full truth of the Gospel, since he's a minister to the Gentiles and likewise Jews. And also to be included with the 12 Apostles' testimonies, to make up the New Testament for HIS church.

For the record, is there any supporting verse that Apostle Paul mentioned that water baptism is no longer required?

Shalom

It is offensive because you are trying to tell me what I said and in doing so, you lie. I didn't say what you claim I said. That is why I said it is stupid.
What is stupid is you doing what I say you do. then denying it

If your going to believe something OWN IT. when you do not OWN it. then you really do not believe it.

You claim water baptism is a requirement to be saved, Hence in effect. you are claiming you are saved through water, since water is the means in your belief system in which sins are forgiven

Now you can continue to deny it, But your just proving you do not even know what you truly believe.
I have not claimed you have said something you didn't. I have only disagreed with your terribly faulty soteriology. If you cannot handle disagreement and have to lie about it, then you really shouldn't be here engaging in forum discussions.
lol. Listen here my friend.

If your going to bear false witness against me because YOUR faulty belief system can not stand on its own. Don;t attack me, Look inside and see why.
And by the way, you lie again. I have never told you that you must earn your salvation. It would seem that your capacity for comprehensive reading is severely limited.
You deny again what you teach.

Its sad when one can not even contemplate or own up to his or her own belief system.

When you claim one must do the work of water baptism to be saved, you in effect are claiming you must earn your salvation by that work.

In other words. Your preaching faith plus works. Not grace.

your no different than the jew trying to say circumcision was required. both circumcision and water baptism represent cleansing.. The only difference is the means by with we are spiritually cleansed (to the jew the as paul called it mutilation. to you, the water baptism.)

These same people were there when Jesus gave the gospel multiple times to themselves and others. and no mention of water baptism anywhere

God did not replace physical circumcision with water baptism. No work in the OT saved anyone. everyone in all time is saved by the same thing, the same faith (assurance) abraham showed in Gen 15. Paul even made it clear. that this same faith Abraham would save the gentiles the way it saved him

Romans 4: 9 Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. 10 How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also, 12 and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised.

The Promise Granted Through Faith

13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, 15 because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.

16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be [d]sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

Poor paul. all this effort in writting and he forgot to add the word baptism in his message of grace through faith. apart from works..
