U.S. snooping revelations cause trouble for allies
By Andrew Osborn
LONDON | Mon Jun 10, 2013 4:23am EDT

U.S. officials have confirmed the existence of the secret program, codenamed PRISM, which according to documents leaked to the Washington Post and Britain's Guardian newspaper has given them access to emails, web chats and other communications from companies such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and Skype.

Do you want security or freedom?
Getting all of that information MIGHT stop terrorist attacks.
Not having that information MIGHT allow the terrorists to strike a major blow somewhere.
It's a hard decision to make.
If the government stops a terrorist attack, we won't hear about it. If a terrorist attack isn't stopped, then the government gets blamed for not doing enough.

So what do you want - security or freedom?

It has nothing to do with catching terrorists. The Ofama administration doesn't believe in Muslim terrorists, only Tea Party terrorists and freedom fighters here in America.

"Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security."
- Benjamin Franklin

"Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty."
- Ronald Reagan

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."
- Thomas Jefferson

The government of the United States has earned its infamous reputation for meddling in the affairs of sovereign states all over the planet for the purpose of aggrandizement of its financial cartel and its military industrial complex. Not content with oppressing millions of souls elsewhere it has turned its greedy eyes and fangs inward upon our own people. We are now subjects of a fascist police state and have no choice whatsoever in either liberty or security.

Don't believe me?
Which of any of us can stand up and say "I want more liberty," and get it.
Which of any of us can stand up and say "I want less security," and see it diminish.
None - is the answer.

None of us can say or do anything at this point. We are subjects of an increasingly cruel and unsympathetic ruling elite.
The only real freedom any of us has is this.....to work and to shop.....and that's it. That's all folks.

"After 911 George Bush told the American people to go shopping and behave normally. In short: forget that you will never again be free to live as before. Think about money."
- Angelo M. Codevilla "The Lost Decade"

The government will kill us when it wants to and use someone else as a patsy - goading a gullible population into greater and greater support of a debauched and criminal system. That is the pattern of our future oppression and we shall see it repeated over and over and over again. Eternal unjust war will be our destiny until some foreign power raises itself against us and teaches us that we are not God's gift to planet earth.

10 steps to the Nazification of America

From THE END OF AMERICA

1.Involk an internal & external threat.
2.Secret prisons where torture takes place.
3.Develop a paramilitary force.
4.surveillance ordinary citizens.
5.Infiltrate citizens groups
6.detain and release ordinary citizens
7.target key individuals
8.restrict the press
9.recast criticism as espionage and dissent as treason
10.subvert the rule of law

The United States has now fulfilled all ten of these objectives. The constitution died on October 26th, 2001 and all our arguments today are little more than bewailing the rotting corpse of what was once a great nation.

Believe it or not I really don't care. I know for a certainty you will wake up to it in the end. On that day you will cry for your lost fantasy.

God is now judging America for its foolishness and its arrogance and we are being forced to drink the dregs of the vintage we have prepared for others. Divine judgment will not end until the last ounce of wrath has been poured out against us.

The only hope THE ONLY HOPE is that we as a people humble ourselves before the Almighty. But that is not our way. Over and over we hear the cry from the grounds of 911 to Boston to the shattered ground in Oklahoma -
"We are defiant. We are proud. We will not bend."

It isn't unbending pride we are witnessing - its rigor mortise of a dead nation in the eyes of the Lord of Hosts.

and that's just me, hollering from the choir loft....

I'll take freedom.
“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

”Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither.”

”He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security.”

”He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither.”

”People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both.”

”If we restrict liberty to attain security we will lose them both.”

”Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”

”He who gives up freedom for safety deserves neither.”

”Those who would trade in their freedom for their protection deserve neither.”

”Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security.”

I just think its telling that now the Left is gung ho on national security in their defense of Hussein. When Bush did it, he was an evil monster. When Hussein does it, and takes it to the next level, they say, "What is your problem with national security?" It's nearly quotidian in politics to illustrate the ideological hackery of the Left.

.....and here in lies the problem.

Our government has convinced, yes, even the Christians, they can provide "security" to their people.

Do we even know anymore our security is found in God, He is our refuge?

What can man do to me?

I am a democrat and I am not happy that Obama has continued the abuses of power that Bush/Cheney introduced. The office of the presidency is too powerful

Bush/Cheney did not introduce them.........even IF they did, Obama has gone over and beyond what Bush ever dreamed of doing.

We've had THE worst 2 presidencies back to back in American history - and Obama takes the cake on this one.

unfortunately, it is not about the man who occupies the office, any longer - it is now about the unlimited power the office provides

I gotta disagree. Bush and Cheney truly did open this door and those of us who were decrying the "patriot" act knew what could happen if an evil regime got hold of these powers. However, Bush and Nixon combined don't even hold a candle to what this regime is doing. the whole idea of the Constitution is that governments should be restrained by laws and not by the pledge of good will.

Obama is the president now, he needs to be held accountable instead of coddled.

People please wake up!!!!!!

The Limbaugh Theorem is being proved correct over and over. People in this country don't hold Obama responsible for what's going on with this country. They all agree that we're in a bad place, the economy isn't bouncing back, and unemployment is stuck on high. But they see Obama as trying to fight all this. His approval ratings continue to tread above 50% and nothing seems to stick to this guy. We're imperiled not because of an evil, radical, Leftist president, but because of a remarkably stupid voting populace.

Agreed, the promise for civil rights has a price to pay.

I agree, but it is who has the office right now, and what he is doing is not good.
