Getting all of that information MIGHT stop terrorist attacks.
Not having that information MIGHT allow the terrorists to strike a major blow somewhere.
It's a hard decision to make.
If the government stops a terrorist attack, we won't hear about it. If a terrorist attack isn't stopped, then the government gets blamed for not doing enough.
So what do you want - security or freedom?

The government of the United States has earned its infamous reputation for meddling in the affairs of sovereign states all over the planet for the purpose of aggrandizement of its financial cartel and its military industrial complex. Not content with oppressing millions of souls elsewhere it has turned its greedy eyes and fangs inward upon our own people. We are now subjects of a fascist police state and have no choice whatsoever in either liberty or security.

Which of any of us can stand up and say "I want more liberty," and get it.
Which of any of us can stand up and say "I want less security," and see it diminish.
None - is the answer.
None of us can say or do anything at this point. We are subjects of an increasingly cruel and unsympathetic ruling elite.

The government will kill us when it wants to and use someone else as a patsy - goading a gullible population into greater and greater support of a debauched and criminal system. The United States has now fulfilled all ten of these objectives. The constitution died on October 26th, 2001 and all our arguments today are little more than bewailing the rotting corpse of what was once a great nation.
