No, I'd call that church business brother, not politics.
I think I'd call King Herod a political leader, but Jesus didn't have anything to say to him that I know of, and He didn't try to rebel or take his place as king either.....John the Baptist rebuked him though, and he was the last old covenant prophet.
Well there’s your problem. Identifying the problem is half way to solving it.
The whole temple system was political. It’s leaders and in fact the leaders of the entire nation were political appointees, and under rule of the Roman government.
When he stood up to all of that— it was political. Never did he say as you do… just let things be.
It was certainly not to gather them all together to go over throw or influence the roman government.
Nothing wrong with voting, running for office, and being involved... UNTIL we see Christians overly worried and living in fear concerning the affairs of government as we are seeing today by so many who claim to be Christians.
The fearful (cowardly) shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire (Revelation 21:8)
We should be doing what Jesus did which is doing the Father's business (Luke 2:49) which for us is the great commission.

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Ultimately it would be nice for this nation to return to conservative government that at least plays like they honor the US Constitution... but sadly, if Trump doesn't win in 2024 many who claim to be Christians will sink even further in to fear and anxiety as the hearts of men fail as they see the things that are coming upon the world (Luke 21:26)
If Joe Bribem wins and the liberals win a majority in both houses of Congress so they have free reign to do anything they want... will all the "Christians" lose their minds and run to the hills like cowards???
Since the majority who claim to be Christian in this nation are actually teaching false doctrine leading people away from the Lord just like the pharisees and sadducees during Jesus' ministry... don't be surprised if the destruction that came upon Israel... comes upon the United States.
To whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48)... this nation has dropped the ball primarily because very few Christians in the US are following the Jesus of God's Word... most are following another jesus and a different gospel that teaches the wisdom of men as though it were the wisdom of God... just like the pharisees and sadducees.
He was calling out the entire system as a sham. A scam. A charade.

And I’ve answered it several times …. The ADA recommends we go to the dentist twice a year. Even though this is not in Scripture, the ADA still recommends this.
Said differently, where there is freedom, there is the Spirit of the lord. You’ve turned freedom into slavery. A free person may do all but what is prohibited. Where does Scripture prohibit fully participating in the duties and obligations of society?
The logic of your question has flipped who has the burden of proof. You are claiming to be a Christian means one is prohibited from fully participating in the political process. There simply is no such prohibition in Scripture.
America’s Founding Fathers were pious Christians AND fully participated in the political process to the point of revolution. Some in Christiandom hold this as anathema.
