No answer? You know that's a subversive tactic in order to change the topic away from any potential agreement in fact.
However, I will answer in saying Christians did take up arms to fight Hitler, to stop him from his mass murdering, world conquest loving, take over.
I also think the world is a better place for it myself. I can't imagine God thinking it was wrong, since I believe it was God who granted the victory.
As for when should a Christian take up arms? Honestly until we are in the situation we won't know if it is right for that time.
We can't really do a hypothetical outside of saying I do think there's times we are called upon to physically fight evil.
Is this that time? In my view no, it's not. I believe right now, that if we loose the war for hearts and minds Christians should walk away and watch it burn.
I think if God allows us to fail in this regard, (the war for hearts and minds) then it's an actual judgement that we need to walk away from in order for people understand what they have asked for by actually living it for a while.
But that's just what I'm thinking right now. I could change my view if something big were to make me decide differently.
It's not too late for individual believers to repent of any heart issues around this that they need to though. And I believe many do need to.
I just know that if I were American I would find DT to be very problematic....I doubt my conscience before God as a believer would let me vote for someone like that. Or Biden either.
Jesus is coming soon and this world will be going up in smoke, either that or we die first at the end of this short life which is but a vapour anyhow...... in light of these things we don't need to be as invested in what goes on here as the unbelieving and deceived world is.
These are very troubling times for the church in general brother, I'm very sad and troubled by it all. All I can say and pray is, Lord, have mercy.
Emotions is what the devil appeals to, that is his tromping ground. It's not righteousness. We need to nail our passions to the cross...die to them. The Lord has been doing that in my life the past year.....I don't like the uncomfortable circumstances I am living in, but i finally realize how it is working for my good. What feels like some kind of punishment is His mercy. And it is His work in me, not that I am deliberately doing anything. I've been praying to change and He has been answering all along in a way that I completely didn't foresee or ask for or imagine, lol. Thank you Lord.
How is Trump or any politician going to fix the political landscape when we live in a democracy if the majority of younger voters coming up are not born again believers who want the same kind of political landscape that believers do? Politics isn't going to solve that problem. The very best we can potentially get with politics is just 4 or 8 years of good policies...just a temporary fix. What would really fix things is if Christians were to repent and become soldiers of the cross again....then we could appeal to the One who raises and lowers kings and kingdoms, and who knows, He might relent and give us better political choices than a rock and hard place.

Just to say, this isn't really an emotional issue for me. And I'm not in some sort of personal rebellion against my circumstances. But if your house has it's walls falling down, don't you want a good carpenter?

No never heard of it. What I have heard of is the ensample of Israel who always forgot God when she began to prosper because of being blessed. That was kind of cyclical. And it is very relevant to the western world....we are not learning and being admonished by Israel's example, which were written for our admonition. It looks like this diagram is showing something similar if I'm not mistaken...?
Judgment/chastisement of the church in general because she is largely apostate now, yes, and this might even be the beginning of the strong delusion, which God sends to all who received not a love of the truth. (If not, it's at least the same pattern......due to the same sin basically.)
When you say "The church is apostate", are you talking about the regenerate? Or those who just call themselves "Christian"?

Your question was faulty and did not require an answer.
Actually it was secular governments that did that and a lot of Christians joined up to serve their country.
It was not something Christians themselves did as the Lord is not leading His true believers to do what the catholics and the calvinists have done which is to form "christian" armies to go kill people in His Name.
You have no scripture showing where the Lord is commanding His people to go out and kill people.
Only in an extreme self defense situation in one's home or in defense of their family would this not be a sin. The Kingdom of God is not of this world . . . Jesus said if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight (John 18:36)
That's something you got out of the Book of Speculations
And, it's the blue states that are in bondage and going downhill fast.
