I know that in the past, voting for a 3rd Party was considered a wasted vote. I'm not so sure that Sen. Manchin would be a wasted vote. I have voted 3rd party in the past, mainly as protest, but with Sen. Manchin, when the other two choices are Biden and Trump, I suspect that 3rd Party may be different. Since the leftists have pretty much taken over the Democrat Party, I suspect any Democrat they would run in place of Biden would be just as bad.
do you really think he has a chance? I have never heard of him. I am sure most people in the state of Ohio never heard of him. So what hope does he have of winning Ohio?

If trump was not running, and the dems did not do all these things to piss people off. I believe DeSantis owuld run away with this race..

But it is not to be.

If you keep up with current events, I do not see how you cannot know Sen. Joe Manchin. He has been a thorn in Biden's side for some time now, blocking some of the extremes of Biden's bills.

I do not watch the news.. Most people i know do not watch the news.

i think a vote for him is a vote for Biden. Just saying, that is my belief.

Sadly in the last few decades. We have had to vote for the lesser of two evils.. And except for 2016. The greater of the two evils has won.

Manchin is a moderate democrat now running as an independant.
I like Joe Manchin but I don't know if he is up to the challenge we're up against today.
We are on the brink of nuclear war. Our borders are being overrun, our country is being invaded by enemies that oppose us. We are under an insurrection even though we don't see it yet, it's here, just not manifested. They are in sleeper cells just waiting for the call to charge.
He would have to go against the agenda 2030 and the new green deal which is nothing more than money laundering and robbing from every country they put their hands on.
And China, could Manchin stand against China and their takeover of Tiawan because we know it's coming.
Could Manchin negotiate an agreement between Putin and Zelensky, Israel and Palestine?

I don't think right now you can be sitting on the fence in the middle. Too much push and pull from both sides.
We need a strong leader to stand up and fight against all these things and be secure and sure for We the People and not the globalist world agenda.

I like Manchin, I like RFK Jr. , I like a lot of candidates on both sides.
But I only see one that's going to pull us through this.
Yes God.
But I believe God is using Trump for We the People. God's people.

Since Trump was elected, I've heard nothing from the media than how horrible he was. But...never any real specifics. Just generalizations. He was an effective president, helping the country be energy independent, helping businesses by lowering business tax, etc. I have yet to meet anyone who can actually give me specifics on what horrible things he did as President. I suspect that the media, who is nothing more than a Marxist propagada tool at this point in history, has brainwashed those who cannot think for themselves.

Biden and the Democrats, on the other hand, are tools of Satan and his demons. They have made abortion as a sort of sacrosanct sacrament of the left. They constantly lie, calling everyone who is white a racist. They are constantly supporting and promoting sexual perversions through our legal system. I could go on and on. They want to suppress all religion, especially Christianity, in our country, just like all faithful Marxists.
How many Republican presidents have done nothing about abortion?
I'm white, and no one has called me a racist. I am so sick of the generalities, the all encompassing They all. Some of you folk act as if trump has done no wrong.
It just amazes me.

trump had the first part of his reign with republican majority. Nothing happened.

I like Ron DeSantis. He is a good Governor for the state of Florida.
But looking back on history, DeSantis never would of been governor if Trump hadn't endorsed him.
And once he got into that office DeSantis went right after Disney.
But for some strange reason DeSantis wasn't dragged through the mud .. that much.
Yes they took him to court over whether Disney should have it's own government within itself, pay taxes for the land it was on,
and even went after him for so-called book banning, which was the intention of keeping pornographic images out of the classrooms.
You can't even by a Playboy or a Hustler unless your 18. And the graphics in these "children's books" pictures of anal sex and falatio...
nope. That should be banned in all classrooms.
I seen these books.. they are pornographic XXX.

But we see what the establishment is doing to Trump. They trying to chew him alive.
But DeSantis, somehow he gets elevated to run for President without much opposition and planty of funding.
Makes one wonder if what Trump calls him DeSanctimonious isn't true.

Definition of sanctimonious as in pious formal + disapproving pretending to be morally better than other people sanctimonious politicians A sanctimonious speech from someone who refused to acknowledge his own past failings.

What is the history of Ron DeSantis. I never did a research on him.

Governorship has no term limits. Why would you give up a possible lifelong position in exchange for an 8 year one. Which really has more limited power looking at the whole resposibilty comparing governor to president.
DeSantis can do more for his State as Governor than he can for the country as a whole.
Governors have the power to dictate as we saw during the covif lockdowns and protests and riots.

Why would he want to give up what he already has?
Looking at his resume according to wkipedia it's pretty sparkly.
Only one thing I found was somewhat condemning in that he oversaw force feeding prisoners while he worked at Gitmo.

In the spring of 2006, DeSantis arrived at Joint Task Force Guantanamo (JTF-GTMO), working with detainees at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.[30][31][32] The publicly released records of his service in the Navy were redacted, with the Navy citing a personal-privacy exception to the Freedom of Information Act.[33] Mansur Ahmad Saad al-Dayfi, who was held at Guantanamo, alleged in 2022 that DeSantis oversaw force-feeding detainees[34][35][36][37][32] and DeSantis acknowledged that he advised the commander of the base about the use of force feeding.[38]

Other than that...too good to be true?

My mistake Governors do have term limits.. learn something new everyday..
All U.S. governors serve four-year terms except those in New Hampshire and Vermont, who serve two-year terms.
But not all states have the same term limits.

And there are no limits in the State of Florida on how many times one can run.

How long can a Florida governor serve?

A Florida governor can serve two consecutive four-year terms before having to step down for the next election.

There is no lifetime limit on the number of times a candidate may be elected.

The governor is elected by popular election every four years, according to the state constitution.

So why give up a good thing to run for an office you can only serve, if your lucky for 8 years.

We see here that the Republican "establishment" backs DeSantis:

DeSantis became governor of Florida on January 8, 2019.[141] He has generally governed as a conservative.[142] On January 11, three days after taking office, he posthumously pardoned the Groveland Four, a group of black men falsely convicted of rape in 1949.[143][144] The same day,[145] he officially suspended Broward County sheriff Scott Israel, ostensibly for his responses to the mass shootings at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, appointing Gregory Tony to replace him.[146][147] In its 2021 session, the Florida legislature passed DeSantis's top priorities.[148][149] During his tenure, the Republican-dominated Florida Legislature enacted much of DeSantis's legislative agenda, often on rapid timelines.[150][151] Maximizing the power of the governor's office, DeSantis exerted pressure on Republican legislative leaders.[152][153]

I wonder how much exertion was needed, if they planned to run DeSantis against Trump in the 2024 election.

Just thinking...

Who is funding his campaign and who of the billionaires are funding his Pac?
I haven't looked and it's time for breakfast.
:D
Hugs

I reject DeSantis for the same reason that Trump dumped him. He became a disloyal opportunist. When the sharks attacked Trump, DeSantis too, smelled the blood in the water and he too circled, like buzzards do when they anticipate death. So he 'jumped the shark' and decided and perhaps hoped that Trump was done for. And because of that belief and that hope, DeSantis threw his hat in the ring as a Presidential candidate-- stabbing Trump in the back like a Senator from Rome, rather than a Governor from Florida. Trump literally saved DeSantis when DeSantis' campaign was on fumes. Anyone who would do this to a friend, would screw you over without a thought.

Similarly- Hailey vowed to never run against Trump. But there she is... breaking her word as easy as saying good morning.

Yes, Joe Manchin is a good solid leader with scruples and honesty, and I would support him. As for RFK jr, I like him, but the voice is beyond what most would find acceptable for POTUS.. We are left with candidate number one or Candidate number two, so we are in for a wild and bumpy ride unless Candidate number three can rally the calvary and makes a charge for the brass ring....

trump had the first part of his reign with republican majority. Nothing happened.
Not true really. What's his name.. Paul Ryan.. I had to go digging how could I forget?
Paul Ryan during Trumps first 2 years in office is a, what we call a RINO. Republican in name only.
During his tenure he would not allow certain bills that Trump wanted debated on the floor to come forward.
Not only did the democrats oppose him, even those in his own party opposed him.
He did however get the Tax reduction Bill and repeal some of the ACA policies that had to do with taxing the public even if they didn't carry the governments health insurance policy.

Ryan’s announcement Wednesday morning ended months of speculation that he might step down. But it reignited the debate over his 20-year political career and legacy, which includes serving as the Republican Party’s vice-presidential nominee in 2012, along with his complex relationship with President Donald Trump.

Ryan’s announcement ended months of speculation that he might step down.
Ryan frequently criticized Trump during the 2016 presidential election. He said Trump’s attacks on a Mexican-American federal judge were the “textbook definition” of racism. He also told House Republicans he would no longer defend Trump a month before the 2016 election, after the release of a 2005 Access Hollywood tape in which Trump is heard boasting about grabbing women’s genitals.

But Ryan has worked closely with Trump on taxes and other issues since he took office, though the House speaker has at times distanced himself from some of the president’s more controversial comments and policies. Trump praised Ryan in a tweet sent out after his announcement Wednesday.

“Speaker Paul Ryan is a truly good man, and while he will not be seeking re-election, he will leave a legacy of achievement that nobody can question. We are with you Paul!” Trump tweeted.

All the while, Ryan focused his sights on two holy grails of the conservative movement: passing the first tax code overhaul since 1986, and scaling back Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, and other government services. Ryan included so-called entitlement reforms in several budgets that he wrote and the House passed during his stint as Budget Committee chairman. Ryan also made funding cuts to Social Security and Medicaid a key part of his campaign message in 2012, after joining the GOP presidential ticket as Mitt Romney’s running mate.

The gamble didn’t pay off that year, as voters opted to elect a Democrat, then-President Barack Obama, who ran on an opposite message of expanding the social safety net. Ryan and Romney joined a long list of Republicans who have tried unsuccessfully in recent decades to reduce government spending on programs that benefit low-income Americans.

Since Trump took office, a growing number of GOP lawmakers have announced that they plan to retire next year — including, most recently, Rep. Dennis Ross, R-Fla., who announced the decision to staff on Wednesday morning, around the same time as Ryan, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

In the 2nd year of Trump's term Pelosi became speaker of the House.

In Trumps Administration the workings of or penning the bills to bring up the Abortion issue being returned to the individual States and not through the Federal Government began.
It wouldn't be until June of 2022 when the Republican's took majority of the house that the law would be chalenged at the Supreme Court.

The thing about the Federal government controlling the Right of abortion is that the Federal government as a whole can change that law with one swipe of the pen universally across the country. And the people have no voice concerning it's enactments.
Consider China's one child policy. If the Federal Government wanted to enact a similar stance due to let's say, population control and controlling the carbon footprint of people, then the People wouldn't have a voice without passing more laws and more Supreme court hearings.
What this did do, by putting the law back in the states hands, was to give every citizen of the United State a voice to vote their agreements or objections with how their state would enact the laws.

So yes, Trump did do something about the abortion laws in the US. They just didn't come to fruition until 2022.

Paul Ryan is a GOP establishment Rino.

He ran on a ticket with himself as President and Mike Pence as VP in the 2016 election.
But when they saw Trump was favoured they backed out.
And neither one of them were in Trump's camp to get things done for the country.

You don't have to be white to be a racist, you just have to disagree with the democrat party.

Hugs

I guess this would mean that she voted for Clinton. Who had sex with his interns. And who is very hard at keeping the Epstine files closed. For it would out him as a child predator.

Of course she did. 100% she did.

You see, morality only becomes an issue when they think they can make that issue a weapon or a tool. When a candidate aligns with your political views-- we dismiss it as an issue. BOTH sides do this.... we give our candidate a pass on issues of morality, while pointing fingers at the other guy.

So the question really is-- do the Democrats as a whole align with your personal values? On issues like abortion, foreign policy, economics, immigration, education, first, second, fourth amendment rights, and so on.

There is nothing I can agree with them on. I don't like everything about Trump. I'm honest about it and I'm aware of what I consider to be his moral failings and personal flaws-- but his policies? Bang on.

If so, examine your values.

The Creature of the Constitution has become the very thing it was created to oppose.
Jay Sekulow who is podcasting that video is one of the attorneys for Trump of the Russia collusion impeachment hoax, that was held in the Senate.
He is also in a band. And I think this song is awesome.
I can't find it with the lyrics.
But it's so true. I believe it has to do with trafficking victims.
I found it a few months after the hearing.

As to Lynn Cheney, I'd not vote for a woman for any ruling office. That is to be reserved for men -

Gen 3:16 NLT "Then he said to the woman, 'I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.'”

I believe that is the proper dynamic equivalent rendering of the verse, based on Gen. 4:7 and I find God only instructs his people to "choose" men to lead and rule, never a woman. Now God may put a woman in such a position, but never are we given that instruction to do it.

BJJ, I agree completely. Trump making a big point of DeSantis being disloyal to himself because he helped DeSantis in his campaign, I find is narcissistic. The loyalty is to be to the nation, not to the person of Donald Trump. I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 but he turned me off initially in one of his rallies where he used the disgusting, vulgar and vile word "f...ing" and the so-called evangelical crowd cheered. I reject that sort of evangelical as well as Trump himself. His use of that word openly, in a rally, was all I needed to see the real Trump. If I have to, I'll not vote on the Presidential choice if Trump's opposition is just as bad.
