Ok so Trump got a conviction in a kangaroo court, So what. It wont stand. The biggest threat to Trump becoming President again is that they will try to assassinate him. Talk last night was the NY court of appeals comes first, then the NY supreme court then SCOTUS.

The New York Supreme Court is the trial court. Appeals are taken from there to the Appellate Division as a matter of right, and from there to the New York Court of Appeals -- the Empire State's highest court -- as a matter of discretion. SCOTUS won't review the New York Court of Appeals' decisions on matters of state law, so this case will never end up in SCOTUS.

They are still talking about appealing the verdict ... the attorneys are... so I bet there has not been a thing started.

The law never seems to think there is any urgency.

IMO I think the Immunity Case, that SCOTUS heard in April, is not going to go well for him. My reasoning is that they have not ruled as yet and they know that the 2 court cases that would be affected... ( although yet to be scheduled, thank God) could well have been scheduled and possibly starting next week and be underway when their ruling would happen. Which of course would mean the case would have to run its course.

Now, I do believe that SCOTUS has to rule on their existing cases before they break at the end of June. That is more then 4 weeks away... a week and a half before the sentencing for this records keeping conviction.

Todd Blanch said on Jesse Watters two nights ago that he was on his way to Florida, next day, ... NOT TO WORK ON AN APPEAL BUT TO WORK ON THE NEXT CASE. That is the doc case, that by the grace of God has been put on hold by the judge.

So an appeal for this lost one?????? We could well be half way into the next 4 years on that.

And my gut tells me... I pray I am wrong... that the judge is going to put Trump under house arrest for 6 months, followed by a fine and then probation.... 6 month might get him not attending the GOP convention... but would make him miss the swearing in of the next president in January.

A lot of people want it to be 1 year, so he would be sent to Rikers.... the Secret Service would be forbidden so he would have to endure Solitare Confinement for the entire time.

We shall see... and again I pray I am wrong....

Sometimes the Supreme Court will let you do a shortcut, I think.

I agree trumps convinction dont mean squat . In fact it probably even helped to energize folks .
But pro longed dention , THAT IS REAL and through inclusive laws
will soon be enforced upon the peoples of the land who hold a bible in their hand .

a form of inclusivity and of another love and this certain peace pacts i see getting set up and embraced

Like Cohen's lawyer for starters. There's a laundry list of evidence that proved Trump's innocence...and I'm not a lawyer but this is elementary stuff.
All Trump's legal team was allowed was to try to discredit the prosecution's evidence by verbal arguments alone...they were NOT ALLOWED TO PROVIDE ANY INDEPENDENT EVIDENCE.

What part of this is confusing? It's a sham and a shame. Needing disbarment for all except Trump's legal team for participating in this. Even Biden said as much when he snickered maliciously when asked about it.

Point me to Merchan's ruling excluding what's on that list, please, so I can assess whether his rulings comport with the rules of evidence.

We'll know whether that claim is accurate soon enough, based on Stefanik's complaint. What I can tell you is that in Manhattan judges are randomly selected to supervise a particular grand jury, and the randomly selected grand jury judge is automatically assigned to prosecutions emanating from that grand jury. Judge Merchan was presumably randomly selected for the grand jury that indicted Trump - but we'll see if anything comes from Stefanik's challenge. It is premature to declare as a fact that the random assignment procedure was vitiated in this case.
