NEW YORK — Weeks after it was first displayed on the Visitors Plaza outside the United Nations headquarters in November, the controversial “Guardian for International Peace and Security” sculpture many Christians likened to a biblical “End Times beast” is now gone.

Initial reports to The Christian Post suggested that the sculpture was removed from the Visitor’s Plaza in late December due to complaints from the public. Stéphane Dujarric, spokesman for the secretary-general, explained, however, that the display was temporary and was removed as scheduled.

“The statue you refer to was a temporary exhibit organized by the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations. It was taken down, as scheduled and anticipated, on 20 December,” Dujarric said in a statement to CP on Monday.

Conservative Christian frenzy over the artwork began brewing after the U.N. tweeted an image of the exhibit on Nov. 9, prompting references to certain scriptures in the Bible, including Daniel 7:2–4 which highlights a vision of beasts, representing governments; one of which is depicted with a body like a lion and wings like an eagle.

Yes but I believe it also controls the religions because most religions today run on the monetary system.
They wouldn't be in business without currency.
the love of Money is the root of all evil, and not too many people today don't love their money.
I have enough to get by on a monthly basis and I'm content with that.
No matter how high the prices go, I will be content with what God provides me with.
But there people out there will slit your throat just to get to the next rung on the ladder.
Everything they think about is money, money, money. I can't live like that. But I know people that do.
And they are the most miserable people I have ever met.
Money can't buy you love.. true love.
And that's all we really need.

Here are my thoughts. Before we are anything else we are Christians.

My next door neighbor came over yesterday for water and sugar - we piled him up. If something happened to his house such that he needed a place to crash for a night or two we have a couch.

I totally get your point.
But not all that are coming over the border are here to find shelter from their country.
We have some really bad hombres on the terror watch list, climbing in by mingling themselves among them.

So I don't know if you can see this like I see this.
On Jan 6th there were two groups of peoples. There were protesters who simply came to protest, and there were some really bad hombres there to create a riot.
That's what's happening on our southern border on a MUCH larger scale. Millions even.

Does that mean we shouldn't give them blankets and food and shelter, specially when we have weather so cold you can get frostbite in 5 minutes? Ofcourse not. We should do whatever we can to help if it's in our power to do so.
But we also have to stay vigilant and aware of the people we are providing for.
The numbers of young men between the ages of 18 and 30 far outnumber the women and children.
And they are coming alone and not as family units. And most of them already have a destination assigned to them.

The ones we see in the shelters and the tents, I believe these are the regular protesters. The ones coming in to create a riot, they go to places that are already prepared to recieve them, but they still mix and mingle with the regular protesters. So you can't tell truly who are the good guys and who's the bad guys.

People in cities like NY and chicago been talking about people knocking on their doors looking for food and money.
I would be first in line to share what I have, but they've made it scary to even want to open your door.
Not the people, the government. By not vetting them or tracking them. We have no idea who they are, where they come from or what their true intentions are.

This never should of happened to them or to us.
It's not fair to anybody.

I actually think it would be kinder sometimes if we started shooting people at the southern border trying to come in, because you wouldn't have to shoot many for the rest to turn back...

Because we can't take them... We can't help them.

They set up these school shootings and mass shootings, and they use people who are mentally unstable, who are on drugs, seeing psychiatrists that twists their minds. The FBI always has them in the rearview mirror for some reason, but never able to stop them from committing the crime. Because they want to have a reason to make things "safer" by removing guns from law abiding citizens.
I'd like to see them consficating the guns from the gangs in the inner cities that are killing each other daily.
But they won't do that, because most the politicians in those cities protect them. They get government funding for crime.
So the more crime the more funding.
REEEEEEEEEeeeeeeee.

I'm telling you, our country is so twisted.
My faith is in God and I'm praying that he is behind Trump. And that Trump will find a way to set this country back on track.
And if that's not in the cards, Im gonna trust God that he has a plan.
Either way.
The only thing holding this country together right now, is the people who do humble themselves and are praying for God to save us.
Once that's gone, it's game over.

God's judgement is abandoning people to their sins. And we see evidence of this all around us every day and it's ramped up so sharply these last few years I believe we are done.. as a nation.

I most certainly could be wrong, with God all things are possible and He could always rescue us from the brink but I honestly don't think we should count on it.

We are being judged. And abandoned.

My comfort is that here is where God's people shine the brightest, when it's dark enough to see the light. And in that there's opportunity... The opportunity to save people.

I don't know if the world is supposed to be rescued. There has to come a time when this world is over and the new day begins.
