Hi there,
So there are three elements in the thread title: running out of pressure, losing control of mutations, and struggling with the Devil.
The issue of running out of pressure, is the hardest one - you have to take stock of all that mankind has been able to do, and weigh that against the idea that what they are aiming at, is constant pressure. There isn't constant pressure, to change constantly - maintaining that belief is only ever going to wear you out. Like trying to push a car with the brake on, you just can't. Aiming at constant pressure, for the sake of constant change, drains the effect of any pressure, until more and more aversion to pressure takes hold. That's where you get the concept of "running out of pressure" (the aversion to pressure, kicks in).
The issue of mutations getting worse, is the most obvious one. Jesus returns to Earth again, without mutation - everything else dies. The point is, Man cannot create more and more perfected mutations, cannot respond to mutation in more and more sophisticated ways. It's a game of telephone: each communication is slightly distorted from the last. Only by accentuating what is not mutated, do you get a balance. At some point, you have to just let the struggle with mutation go. Fighting it can make it worse (if you are already beyond recovery).
Then we come to something we can do something about: the Devil. The Devil won't give up his attacks on the people of God and for the people of the world, he shows little mercy. But we can rebuke him. We can rebuke him for creating a snare out of our readiness to do what God asks. We can rebuke him for repaying good adaptations with bad. We can rebuke him, for feigning Evolution, when all he has is more of the flesh. The Devil uses tricks, we have to be wise to what he can and cannot do. All these things point to something every man must consider at some point: God.
God is the only way Man will be able to deal with all these problems. If pressure in the world is running out, who can get pressure from somewhere else, but God? If mutations are getting worse, who but God can work effectively with nature to bring about a revival of strength in the flesh? If the Devil won't relent, who but God is able to work out what stance to take, to rebuke the Devil most effectively? God is the answer. The pressure on God has not diverted Him from His love for mankind; the innocence of God has not committed man to suffer with mutations, because he is evil; the Devil resisting God helping man at all, won't help the Devil, because God will resist him. For these things, we should be eternally grateful.
I hope this has been of some encouragement.
God bless.
