Hi there,

So there is a verse that says "God will not always strive with Man" and another that says "they are blinded, lest they turn and God heal them - that is, in their fallen state" (OT, from memory, my addition). These two things are not evidence of disease in their own right, but I think that when you consider "what is it, that happens to mankind?" it fits very nicely that there will be a disease that wipes out mankind. What is interesting, which I am adding here, is that I think the anti-christ is the link (or part thereof) between life before the disease and life after. Scripture very clearly testifies that "he who lives by the sword, will die by the sword" (Revelation from memory). The anti-christ lives in opposition to Christ, therefore he will die in opposition to Christ. But if the anti-christ is in opposition to the Christ, it follows that at some point: He will be against Creation.

If then, Man is tempted by the Devil to believe the anti-christ that men should be against Creation, then God will deliver them up to a disease that is against them. This is the link I am talking about. It follows the metaphor of the Tower of Babel (I'm not saying the Tower of Babel is a metaphor and nothing else, I'm saying the end of Mankind is parallel with the end of the Tower of Babel) as concerns the destruction of Man follows this pattern to the end (until there are no men left). That is, men think "this world has become ours to do what we like with" and God gives them over to disease, that they not be able to endure their own lawlessness.

The Holy Spirit will remind you of these things, if you are willing - I'm not trying to change theology; the discussion of the end of humanity is largely untouched by the Bible (one way or the other). The emphasis in the Bible is the triumph of the faith throughout the world - a high note, not a low note. If there is a point then, it is about watching how you judge the anti-christ: God is careful not to condemn the anti-christ and regards his place in the world as a principality that can be used to bring an end, to the enemies that trust him (instead of God). I think its in Proverbs, where it says "He who rebels against the king, transgresses against his own soul" (poorly, from memory). The point being that as Paul said (in the letters) "Government is there for our benefit", we should not fear the end (of humanity) if it is out of our hands.

Just be mindful, I guess: when God says "I make some for wrath and some for glory", He means "I even make one for great wrath and one for great glory". Not being entangled in the world is important, as I think this should celebrate - I hope you found this of some encouragement.

God bless.
