I believe there is absolutely no way that the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of a Christian cannot be impacted by that person listening to music that glorifies graphic sex outside of marraige with multiple partners, drug use, violence, misogyny, love of money, or worship of self.
Because of the lyrics or the person that wrote it?
Again, I don't listen to it for the lyrics but it's a moot point.
I was thinking about this today and realized you might be coming from the perspective that the PERSON THAT WROTE IT is why it shouldn't be listened to, because it wasn't written to Glorify God...
If that's ALSO the case... What of the many Christian artists who write "Christian" songs to attempt to bring glory to self? Their pocketbook? Their fame? It wasn't written to the Glory of God- seems no better than the secular stuff, then.
So we come right back around to the lyrics... The motive for listening.
