"GET SAVED or "ACCEPT JESUS" and He will then bless, enhance, prosper and save the life that you are living in this world.

The Word says to forsake your life in this world and give up everything in this world in your heart and after a short time of suffering and fiery ordeals (situations God sets up to put to death the carnal nature), He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

Plus, upon giving up this life in this world, you immediately receive the next life here and now. Then going to heaven is no longer something to long for. Going to heaven will just be a transition.

Easy-believism gospel keeps us separate entities from Christ. The Gospel of the Kingdom, however, makes us one with Christ or causes us to be joined to Him in our spirit. A false gospel, keeps us separate from Christ.

The modern religious realm knows very little to nothing about being one with Christ, although the Word is very clear about it.

The church-world, religious system, and denominationalism testify by their spiritual condition their lack of understanding of the new birth.

So I have to Completely Forget everything on earth.......I have to forsake my Whole good childhood because If I dont I will burn in Hell. If I want to go to heaven, I cannot Bring fond memories ........Doesnt add up. He must have meant something else. My Personality has to be brought down? I have to be just like every other Christian? I need to share the same destiny? Holding anything from this earth in my heart just makes me evil and worldly? Whats the point for my existence then, Only to give it all up? Then there is no point

Worldly Christians are those who Believe in Jesus but dont live the way they should. Those who Reject Jesus even though They know they should follow him.

I think the bottom line with worldly churches is as it is pointed out, get everything here and now, then "die and go to heaven". The bible teaches neither. You can tell a worldly church by its eschatology, i.e. a true church teaches Yahshua coming back again. From what I see a majority of mainline Christians simply do not believe he's coming back, and will be victims of believing a deception, perhaps the beast to come. They don't teach anything happening in the future --- it's all here and now like a self-improvement and social gospel religion.

So you mean I can just say this one statement  and all of a sudden I have a genie in a bottle? :D Oh let me think I need some new shoes, a new car, and my boss just keeps treating me so bad... B)

Hey wait a minute it has been three weeks since I said that little magic spell you told me to say, things haven't really changed.

Oh, I get it I gotta give a little to get a little, now how much did you say something like 10%? :( And I have to be good? <_< Then I can just name it and claim it right, just like pullin money out of the air.

OK this christian stuff isn't all you said it would be and every time I tell you it isn't working you tell me I have to do more, like generate more faith, or tithe more, or start skipping meals. I don't even know what that church across the street means about this salvation stuff on their sign in front

seems to me that worldly churches teach self enhancement or selfishness rather than selflessness. they like to teach people to expect to be served by God and neighbor based on their ability to belong to an exclusive club. true sanctification teaches us to love others through service.

Yes, the message of the World-ly Church is self-centered and not Christ-centered.

I was pleased to read that Ray Comfort is speaking out against this modern day message. This teaching is rife within the church. It is leaven spread from the originator of the message, Rick Warren and Purpose Driven Life.

We are being hounded to find our purpose and it drives me crazy. What about God's purpose? He will fulfil it through us if we will yield our lives to Him. It's all about self help and self do these days and God is pushed out of the church because once we find our purpose we can do it ourselves.

I wonder how these modern churches spin what Jesus told the rich man? Mark 10:20-23.

20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

My pastor says that many will be raptured upside down :).

Hi Selene,

I'm not talking about the process, I am talking about today's religious colloquialisms.

I think that anytime someone goes off to the extreme of any one doctrine, he's in danger. It's important to look at the whole picture. I'm a big fan of Bonhoeffer's Cost of Discipleship. I believe that Jesus should be the primary focus of our hearts, and that we should give everything to Him because we love Him and He loves us.

But it's crazy to think that He doesn't want to bless us in this life, as well as the next.

Mar 10:29 Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake,
Mar 10:30 but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.
Mar 10:31 "But many who are first will be last, and the last, first."

The problem is when the "hundred times" becomes the focus, instead of Jesus. Another problem is when we try to define what that "hundred times" is. God wants us to give it all to Him, but that doesn't mean that He wants us to be miserable. It means that He has something even better for us. Sometimes He takes care of us with the things of this world that it takes to survive and be happy. Sometimes people are going to be happy with an overabundance of love and peace during a hard time. Paul says it best:

Php 4:12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.
Php 4:13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

In Contrast to the message of the "World-ly" Church, we have the NEW BIRTH.

Romans 6:7

...for he who has died is freed from sin.

To understand this verse, we must first define what form of death this scripture refers to. And to know what kind of death this is, we must gain an understanding of death.

The best way to describe death is to say that it is simply a separation. In physical death, the human spirit leaves the physical body and goes to God who gave it (Eccl 12:7). And the body goes back to the dust from which it came. Spiritual death is the separation of God from man, such as happened with Adam and Eve. The third kind of death as described by Romans 6:7 is a separation from the world. Evidence that you are separated (died to the world, sanctified, saved) from the world is that:

1. You are not a friend of the world (James 4:4)

2. You do not love the world, nor the things in the world (1 John 2:15)

3. You do not trust the world or its riches (Mark 10:24-25, 1 Tim 6:17, and John 17:14)

In the parable of the prodigal son, Luke 15:11, both the KJV and NASB state in verses 24 and 32 that the son was dead. This "death" exemplifies leaving his father's house or domain and going to a far country and engaging in loose and riotous living "Dead in trespasses and sin" (Eph 2:1). The far country is the world and loose and riotous living is the world's lifestyle. Paul, in Gal 6:14, says that by the cross he is dead to the world and the world is dead to him. Col 2:20, speaks of having died to the elementary principles of the world. And, in Gal 2:20, Paul testifies that he "has been" crucified with Christ. Notice the importance of the CROSS of CHRIST.

To say that you are born-again or born from above is to say that you have given up or let go of the world. You have separated yourself from it. It is no longer an idol in your heart. This is the greatest expression of faith toward God that you can exercise. The term "world" means realm, domain, kingdom and it encompasses everything that is in the world. So, we are in the world, but not of the world.

1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Death to this domain means that by faith you have separated yourself from the natural world you are living in and awaiting the establishing of the Kingdom of God. You are also participating, actively in the establishment of the Kingdom of God. First in your heart and then as a servant and minister of the Lord.

1 Peter 2:9-11 says, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;"

So, anyone that claims to be born again and yet is controlled by the LUST OF THE FLESH, THE LUST OF THE EYES and the BOASTFUL PRIDE OF LIFE is deceived. The new birth comes as a result of being convicted by the WORD and Holy Spirit that you are a part of the world and that you are motivated by self-centeredness, greediness and pleasure-seeking. He will not allow anyone to become a member of the Body of Christ or the Kingdom of God who does not turn from the world, which is where these things operate. Godly sorrow will begin to stir in your heart causing you to turn from these things (repent) and the cleansing power of the Holy Spirit will come on you and in you.

THIS IS WHAT BEING BORN AGAIN IS!!

Walking after the Spirit is the only safe place to be. It will protect you from the extremism of the flesh.
