The end shall be with a flood

We are told in the book of Daniel that “ the end there of shall be with a flood.” So what is this flood the Lord is talking about?

In the days of Noah the Lord opened up the foundations of “the deep” and He also opened up the windows of heaven. So you had flood waters coming up, and rain coming down.

The flood in the last days is not that of H20 but it rather a spiritual flood coming out of the bottomless pit (the Abyss) and out of the mouth of the Dragon. These flood waters are shown coming out of the mouth of the serpent in Revelation 12:15

Here is something I want you to notice about the opening of the bottomless pit, and the opening of the mouth of Leviathan/Satan/ the Serpent/ the Devil.

Notice the description…

“And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose (((a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace;))) and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of ((the smoke))of the pit.3 And there came out of ((the smoke))locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

Notice what comes out of the mouth and nostrils of Leviathan….

Job 41:19-21

King James Version

19 (((Out of his mouth)))go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

20 ((Out of his nostrils goeth smoke,)) as out of a seething pot or caldron. (great furnace)

21 His breath (((kindleth coals,)))and a flame goeth out of (((his mouth.”)))

Now here is the connection between the Serpents mouth and the mouth of the ungodly.


James 3:5 5 Even so “the tongue” is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter (((a little fire kindleth!)))

In spiritual terms, this is what is happening in “the mouth” of the children “of hell” who are “of” the “spirit of”the Devil.

James 3:6
And (((the tongue is a fire,)))a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and (((setteth on fire)))the course of nature; and (((it is set on fire of hell.)))

When you come to understand that the opening of the bottomless pit is connected to “the opening of the mouth”of Leviathan/Old Serpent/the Devil. Then you can see it is “evil spirits” that are “coming out” of hell and entering into “the mouth” of men, who are of the same “spirit” as their father the Devil.

Revelation 16:13
And I saw three “unclean spirits”like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

But God shall also rain down “Living waters” from the mouth of his saints.

Luke 21:15
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Genesis 7:24
And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

Notice this is the same amount of time this spiritual flood of locusts would prevail on earth.

Revelation 9:5
And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

In the days of Noah God was the one who restrained the waters…

Genesis 8:2
The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

The Lord restrains the flood waters…

Ezekiel 31:15
Thus saith the Lord God; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.

The Lord is the one who will restrain the spiritual flood of the wicked…

2 Thessalonians 2:6-7

Isaiah 59:19

You're trying way too hard here. A lot of people take things too literally, but you are going too far the other way. When it talks about the end coming by way of a flood there, what is it referring to? The end of the city and the sanctuary which was just mentioned in the verse before that. It had just mentioned the destruction of the city and the sanctuary in Daniel 9:26, so why would any destruction mentioned in verse 27 not be related to that?

Daniel 9:26-27 relates to the destruction of the city Jerusalem and its sanctuary just as Jesus also said would happen (Matthew 24:1-2;15-22, Mark 13:1-2;14-20, Luke 19:41-44, Luke 21:6-7;20-24a), so it needs to be understood in that context. Simple as that. The end of the city Jerusalem and its temple occurred with the flood of Roman soldiers that came in and destroyed it in 70 AD.

There are similarities between what happened in Jerusalem in 70 AD and what will happen around the time of Christ's second coming, but Daniel 9:24-27 does not relate to the second coming of Christ, which is a dispensationalist idea.

When you understand the spiritual flood is that of ungodly men that are the children of Death and hell…

2 Samuel 22:5
When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;

Psalm 18:4
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

Then you will understand how the earth helped swallow up this flood of ungodly men.

Revelation 12:16
And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

This sign is confirmed here…

Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earthswallowed them.

But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earthopen her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord.

And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earthopened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of all Israel:

Psalm 106:17
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan and covered the company of Abiram.

In the end Death shall be swallowed up in victory.

In the Books of God's Old Testament prophets, the idea of a symbolic 'flood' of waters is used by God several times to point to events for the end of this world involving Satan's host upon God's people. So no mystery that Rev.12 is using that waters of a flood idea coming out of the serpent's mouth after the symbolic 'woman' (Christ's Church) at the end, and it is being symbolically associated with the time of the flood of Noah.

For example, Noah's ark was upon the 'height'... of the flood waters for a period of 150 days, per Genesis 7. Per the old Hebrew calendar reckoning of 30 days a month, that means 'five months'. And in the Revelation 9 chapter what are we shown the 'source'... of the locust stinging is from? From their MOUTHS. And how long is that stinging of those NOT sealed to be for? "five months", exactly comparable to the 150 days of Noah's ark upon the flood waters.

Thus Lord Jesus is our ARK of protection THROUGH the symbolic waters of a flood out of the serpent's MOUTH at the end of this world!

This ain't... speculation brethren.
This is one of the ways that God teaches in His Word, using metaphor, analogy, parable, allegory. Every language uses those tools to communicate with symbols and images that would require many more words to explain.

If you are not taking time to consider these analogies God uses in His Word, then you are missing a whole level of deeper understanding in God's Word that helps 'seal' how God really feels about a matter.

For example, in 2 Cor.11, Apostle Paul used the analogy of those who wait for Christ being found as a 'chaste virgin' presented to their True Husband (Jesus). Paul was pulling that idea from Isaiah 54 about 'blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare'. (see Luke 23:27-30 where Jesus repeated it). Thus the warning of 'woe to those with child' in Christ's Olivet discourse about the end just prior to His coming isn't really about literal pregnant women, but about those who don't remain a symbolic 'chaste virgin' waiting for Christ to come, and instead are found 'with child' spiritually, meaning they fell away to the false-Messiah instead. That's why those 'with child' are said to suffer "wrath" in the Luke 21:23 version, because it's about God's wrath on that day.
