He wants unity but not man's idea of unity which means putting aside our theological differences. A true mark of Jesus' 1 religion= 1Cor 1:10- Unity of thought(all of Gods 1 truth) no division. ---See not hundreds of different truths in hundreds of different religions claiming to be Christian. Did not Jesus promise to his teachers--I will send holy spirit to guide you into ALL truth= not hundreds of different truths, but 1 truth is found in Gods bible.

A Christian is a Son-Daughter of God.

Here is how you become one..

"Jesus said, you must be born again"... and for that to happen, you have to give God your Faith in Christ, so that He can forgive your sin with the Sacrifice of Christ, and then give you the New Birth, as "Born.....again".

James was speaking to Israelite members of the Church, because there were apostles active in those days. The whole reason those Israelites even believed in Christ is because the apostle carried the original gospel of the kingdom to them, not the denominational milkshakes we offer today.
