These criminals never face penalties that fit the crime...this one did :)I don't think any charges should be filed if he was defending his daughter. It's a father's duty to protect his family. As to whether he lost control and beat the man to death out of anger, that is the risk that criminals take when they engage in such activities.

Are we exhibiting the wrong Christian response to rapists and child molesters ? Are we being too harsh on them in light of scripture ? Are'nt we supposed to be forgiving ? Well being a survivor of abuse myself, I know first hand how hideous the effects of being violated can be and if anything, I think society has been way too soft on these types of criminals and thats why there are so many repeat offenders.I don't believe he should be punished, for he got real justice for his daughter. Even if they could have been caught and convicted, they would be out in a few years and raping someone else--maybe killing so as not to leave a witness. In my opinion, the only real justice for rapists, pedophiles, and murders is death. Let them wake up in hell where true justice is for such lowlifes.
AGREED !!Scripture says something about putting a mill stone around their neck and tossing them into the Sea,so no i don't think we are being too harsh, this society is not too harsh on anyone except those trying to do the right thing.
He can forgive him now if he wantsI believe in forgiveness. The father should have forgiven the 'offender' in much the same way we now have to forgive this murderer.
The old fossil pushes his fedora back to expose his forhead and grasping his beard he says, "First of all, the father murdered nobody. Your comment here is a direct reflection of the heresy adminestered to the Christian Community by all of these 'New Testament" and Ńew Testament Theology Christians' and the truth of the matter is that there is no such thing!I believe in forgiveness. The father should have forgiven the 'offender' in much the same way we now have to forgive this murderer.
Texas Prosecuter will not file charges against the father...justifiable homocide
Michael Jacksons death was ruled a homocide and it was'nt premeditated... now I am confusedNot really justifiable homocide, since the father was exhibiting self-defense in behalf of his daughter. Homicide is pre-meditated murder, like you've had time to think about it and plan a killing.
Even in situations per God's law where two men broke out in a fight and one was accidently killed in the argument it was called 'manslaughter', with certain cities designated where the one who killed was to flee, where the victim's family was not allowed to seek revenge. The line has been confused today with calling manslaughter a lower degree murder.
In the old west history of the U.S., a horse thief was hanged because in that time a person's horse often depended upon his ability to survive.
