Well, the definition of a heretic is a person who violates established rules and tenants of a religion, or is a person who has views that don't conform to the norm. An example of a heretic is a person who has views that do not conform to the views of the Roman Catholic church.
I'm non-denominational and therefore neutral about all established religions, so I'm free to criticise or applaud them as I see fit..:)

Since the Catholic Church set the norm a long time ago and you Protestants don't conform to that norm wouldn't that make all Protestants heretics?
Clearly you don't agree that the doctrine of the Catholic Church is the "norm". Who OR what denomination sets the "norm" for all of Christianity?

By trying to be saved or stay saved, apart from the only way to go to Heaven. John 14:6
So, as soon as "works" "enduring" "commandment keeping" and trying to prove you can lose your Salvation, becomes your Theology, then all that i just wrote about you, became your reality.
Until you end all attempt to be saved or stay saved, of yourself, your theology denies the Cross.

Let me break this down for you Behold. The teachings of the Catholic Church was the norm until your forefathers Protestant revolution 500 years ago. Then some other men left that revolutionary group and started their own group. That means that you follow men who revolted from the men who revolted from norm(al) teachings of The Church. Therefor, that makes YOU and your ilk WAY out of the norm.
According to YOUR criteria what does a person have to believe to be a "Real Believer"? And what makes your criteria the criteria everyone else should accept?

That's it. In regards to Colossians 1:23 - ..if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. The word "if" here is an unfulfilled, hypothetical condition used with the subjunctive mode, presenting the possibility of a future realization, having here the idea of "assuming that you continue in the faith." Continuance would show that the person's faith is firmly established in the hope of the gospel and they really have been reconciled. The form of this phrase indicates that Paul fully expects that the Colossian believers will continue in the faith; no doubt is expressed, yet what about "nominal" Christians whose shallow, temporary belief withers away and does not continue?
It's only natural that Paul would speak this way, for he is addressing groups of people who profess to be Christians, without being able to infallibly know the condition of every person's heart. How can Paul avoid giving them false assurance here that they will be eternally saved when in fact they may not? Paul knows that faith which is firmly grounded and established in the gospel from the start will continue. Those who continue in the faith show thereby that they are genuine believers. But those who do not continue show that their shallow, temporary belief was not grounded in the gospel to begin with.
Just like in 1 Corinthians 15:1,2 - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. To believe in vain is to believe without cause or without effect, to no purpose.
