Some questions can only be answered only after 3 years have passed.
It was way longer than that, more like 10 or 15 believe it or not
Follow this out, it says,
He that sanctifieth (which is Christ) and they who are sanctified are all of one and these it says he is not ashamed to call brethren right?
If this is so and these were instructed to be in some kind of need, even as Paul speaks of being instructed to be full and to be in need, they are shown to be some sort of perceivable need that can be reccognize (after the flesh) but understood to be a stranger in the sense they dont reccognize him (or Christ in them) after the Spirit.
Because both (Sheep and goats) were like, when saw we thee a stranger?
But they did see him, they just did not perceive him.
Even Paul says,
Heb 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Likewise Jesus says,
Mat 10:40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
And Paul again says,
Gal 4:14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
Or for example when Jesus himself drew near and went with them, but they were kept from knowing him and they see him (after the flesh) but regard him as a stranger in Luke 24:18
And asks him
Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
But here they take Jesus in
Luke 24:28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
Luke 24:29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
Perfect,
Mat 25:28 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in?
Similarly,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst?
So he was athirst (or rather his brethren) and giving even a cup of cold water because you specifically belong to Christ has a reward.
Mark 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Paul speaks of the same things
1 Cr 4:11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace
Likewise Jesus says,
Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Shows the same in Paul
Acts 24:23 And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
None would be forbidden to come unto him to minister to his needs which certain did
Likewise does Paul say this of Onesiphorus
2 Tim 1:18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
And the King shall answer and say unto them
Mat 25:40 Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done
it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done
it unto me.
