Disobedience to Jesus is always a sin. Why do you ask ?

BTW I'm not a sinless perfectionist.

I've been accused of that term but perfectionist has to do with believing in total maturity in all of the fruit of the Spirit. I don't believe that, and nobody should, but the accusations fly unguarded. That takes most of us a lifetime. But when Jesus takes away all of our unrighteousness, at that point we are sinless. That's day one - the day we are justified and sanctified for good works. And 1 John 5:18 tells us to keep ourselves that way. Jesus has destroyed the works of the devil in us, and has taken away our sin nature, the old man, cleansing us from all the old desires. We may not have all knowledge of sin, but as Philippians 3:16 says, we will live up to the knowledge we have. Sinlessness is commanded, when Jesus said, be holy for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16. But is scares the natural man. 1 Corinthians 2:9-16.

I have found that when we don't have knowledge of a particular sin (that we find out later IS a sin), our conscience doesn't tell us no. It won't react until we know better. That is the major difference between the Old and New Covenants. The Old Covenant they had to memorize 613 laws, and if they broke even one, they broke them all and were condemned by God, the ministry of death. The yoke of Jesus is light. It is about His Spirit inside of us, telling us right from wrong through our conscience. That is why 1 John 3:21 is a key scripture in our New Covenant.

Did Paul lack understanding?
I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others, 2Cor13:2
I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged. 2Cor12:21
The above cannot be referring to before the people written to became christians. I do understand what you are getting at BTW, I have often myself quoted Heb9:26.
Paul was speaking to those who had heard the good news of Christ and were beginning to follow, but were not fully given over to Him. They were not in Christ, nor Christ in them--not yet actually saved, and still partially living in sin.

This Paul did understand.

Paul referred to the corinthians as : 'The church of God'. They spoke in tongues, they had the Holy Spirit

The measure you use to judge others will be used to judge you Matt7:2

I am judging the wrong belief and not any actual individuals. Anyways, when I ran into folks who believe as you do, they generally believe that you can sin and still be saved and you only lose rewards by sin. If this is the case, then I am just going to lose rewards. Whoop Dee Dee Doo. Why would I care about any rewards that I don’t know about? What does that really matter? Is not it not really about making sure we get into God’s Kingdom and we end up saved and we are with GOD?

The difference between you and I is, I know I am not sin free, you may be in denial of that fact in your own life

Before you are born again, its the Law that Judges you, as you are "under the law", which is a curse.... as "the law is the power of sin".

After you born again, the Law, has no power or authority over you, as you dont exist, as a Child of God, under the law.
You exist in the KOG......."translated from Darkness to Light".

So, the answer is....... If God sees you, only as a Born again Spirit, and your body is "dead because of sin", and your mind is not born again....then whatever you do in the body, is not related to being "ONE with God", , and so, that is why God does not have anything to do with you behavior, that you classify as sin.

Your FLESH, that is your mind and body are "crucified with Christ", and when you see that as reality, and live there as your REAL FAITH... then you no longer have any consciousness of this idea of "sinning", as that is the old man, not the "new Creation" in Christ.
Paul told you to "reckon it dead", vs, being on a forum ranting about sin.
Understand?

So do you and marks believe that because we are not under the law, if we lie and murder, we can reckon them as not sin, because we say we are in Christ?

If a believer commits adultery, who is it living in them that has done that?
That is not Christ. Still, one must understand that "to live is Christ" does not mean that Christ has not taken upon himself their sins past, present, and future...but that He has.

This is what is not fully understood.

I agree, Christ died for past, present and future sins. That does not mean a person cannot commit sin, but rather the price of it has been paid

I'll show you a mystery that is a Spiritual Truth.

There is No sin "in Christ".
And all the born again, are "in Christ".
If you learn that mystery that is THE revelation regarding being "Made Righteous", by GOD...then you have found some Light, indeed.

Notice this verse..

"As JESUS IS......so are the born again, in this world"....

Ask yourself....>"can i have any sin, and be Seated in Heavenly places, in Christ"?

Ahhhhh.

I just posted the reason this is misunderstood. But it is also important to note the times, which were on the cusp of the greatest changes in all of history regarding salvation. Paul's ministry was to some who would die in their sins, but also to those who would be firstfruits following Christ, but not fully knowing the details, as it still is even to this day.

When you read Paul, you actually have to read the context. Paul never refers to how we are not to follow the new commands given to us by Jesus. Paul clearly refers to the 613 Laws of Moses or the Old Law given to Israel. This is evident if you were to read the Jerusalem council event in Acts 15. In that chapter, we learn about how certain Jews wanted to deceive Gentile Christians into thinking they had to be circumcised in ordered to be saved and to keep the Law of Moses. Paul says we are not under the Law (Romans 6:14). This law would be the Old Law because Paul says in another place that he is under the Law of God (i.e. the Law(s) of Christ) (See: 1 Corinthians 9:21). In Romans 7:6, Paul says we are to serve in newness of spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. The oldness of the letter is the Torah. Hebrews 7:12 says the law has changed.

Paul wrote:
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved Eph2:4&5
To Paul even when you are dead in transgression/sin you have been made alive with Christ and have been saved

Why do you sin when you don't have to?
You are referring to "sins unto death", "sins not unto death", or both?

That the sins "not unto death", these might sometimes be committed by the born again, is this what you've asserted in the past?

And that the "sins unto death" are those punished by death in the OT, and sins not unto death are those not punished by death in the OT? That sins unto death are the "wilfull sins", sins "not unto death" otherwise?

Do I remember your view correctly?

So then stealing, and lying, since these were not punished by death, these are sins that might be committed by a born again person?

That doesn't seem right to me. And I agree with you that people sometimes don't tell the fullness of what they think, do they?

Much love!
