Satan is a liar
How is it for most he is believed so easily? Cuz he's bloody good at it and can pull the wool over the eyes of unfallen angels......and fallen man assumes his shenanigans are a 'piece of cake'....well, a piece of something that religious folk apparently deem easily discernible.
Satan is of course, good at lying, but I am not sure that is the real reason we get 'the wool pulled over our eyes'.
Don't we actually do the covering of our eyes, and is that not because we are rebellious?
Eze 12:2 “Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house.
If we are rebellious against God, do we want to see the God is there with us? I don't think a rebellious person wants to see the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OR LORDS, any more than a bank robbers want to see the police show us while they are robbing the bank. Of course God is omni-present, so He is always there, so a person has to lie to themselves and 'the wool pulled over our eyes' least they see the Truth.
That being the case, then the rebellious part of us wants to believe Satan has been given authority over the earth, so we can continue the even lying to ourselves. Rebellion has no part in the Truth, does it?
Therefore Satan might be pretty good and lying, because he does it all the time, but the real problem is our willingness to believe him!!
Indeed, it seems some folks would rather be willing to be deceived and believe Satan’s lies rather than to study the Bible, the inspired Word of God, which teaches us how not to be deceived.

Why is that?
Its because these cults, have clever lies.. they use clever lies against you..... that are Satanic.
How does the DEVIL Lie, using a Cult......like those?
He simply mixes some truth with some lies, and that always sounds true, unless the person hearing it, is trained to recognize HERESY.
How do you become Trained?
The best way is to listen to someone who is... and they can protect you.., until you do what Hebrews 13:9, says to do with your heart... or the rest of the verse, will come upon you.....and there is no avoiding it.

I think Satan encourages self deception. It is so convoluted and multi-layered we can't pin it or for the most part even want to.
We consider our paradigms are the result of our great 'wisdom' and justify ourselves at mostly every turn.
God has condescended and become one of us and we miss the absolute weightiness of it. It is considered little other than any religious myth subconsciously ....and so the cobbling of disparate information begins...and with it, deception.
The reason people get deceived is primarily because they don't actually seek Jesus Christ and what He has to say to them, like the Bible explains!
We tend to lean on our own understanding instead of actually seeking Him. Mormon do that, the Jehovah Witness absolutely don't seek Jesus Christ, and it seems to me the John Calvin did seek Jesus Christ and got some information, but many who went after his teachings did that instead of actually seeking the Lord and listening to Him. And so we find that Christians also do that very thing. I too often lean on my own understanding instead of actually seeking the Lord Jesus Christ also. I confess that I only hear that small voice of His about a dozen different times a day.
And anyone writing the best way to become trained is to listen to someone who is, is only correct if in fact that meant "Jesus Christ" by writing "to listen to someone who is"! He is the One who is trained up at the Word of God and our Lord God who speaks to us via His Holy Spirit. But that is not really what you meant by writing, "The best way is to listen to someone who is", because you followed it up by writing, "they can protect you."
And indeed, "HERESY" is pointing other people to other people instead of Jesus Christ, or have you not read:
Jn 5:41 “I do not receive glory from men;
"So how does the devil lie?" - you ask?
By speaking to our spirit, of course. For anyone to lie they have to speak. Satan is a spirit, and just a single spirit, thought he leads a huge rebellion. And whenever he speaks he speaks a lie because that is his nature. So when that snake said:
Gen 3:1 ....And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said
He was lying! Of course God had said and even he knew it. But to bring doubt into the woman's life (as opposed to belief), that snake said, "Indeed, has God said". And so consider who is telling you to lean on what other people say instead of listening to the Lord our God who speaks to His sheep? Have you not read:
Is 1:2 Listen, O heavens, and hear, O earth;
For the LORD speaks,
“Sons I have reared and brought up,
But they have revolted against Me.
But we have gone over this before, havn't we?
As for me, I have instructions from the Lord our God, Jesus Christ, to get people to listen to Him. That doesn't mean you can't or should listen to people. That is called peaching the Word of God, because His name is called "The Word of God", because He has the words of His Father for us. And His Holy Spirit get those words from Him and gives them to our spirit! But the unbelieve says they will seek after men, instead of the Lord. Or have you not read:
Ex 20:19 Then they said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die.”
The Israelites, when brought to the mountain of God to listen to God, did not want to listen to Him, they wanted to listen to a man, Moses, instead of the Lord. So when Jesus said:
Jn 5:41 “I do not receive glory from men;
He was even referring to the men who wrote the Scriptures!! Of did you not read the verses right before He said that?
Jn 5:39-42 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;
and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.
“I do not receive glory from men;
but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves.
The fact is, that if anyone actually loves the Lord our God then they will actually seek to hear from Him personally! He is always with you/us. So by the Israelites saying to Moses, " “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us..." it showed they did not love God!!! As so does pointing other people to other people, instead of the Lord our God. If you loved the people, and the Lord our God Jesus Christ, then you would point them to Him. Who is wiser, than He. Who has the words of God other than He? Who is love, is not God love?
But Satan, and those under him don't have the love on God in them, so they point other away from Jesus Christ! Have you not read:
1 Co 3:4 For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere men?
or
1 Cor 3:7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.
Still we find people pointing to other people instead of to the Lord our God, Jesus Christ!
Jn 5: 43-47 “I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.
“How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?
“Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope.
“For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.
“But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”
It doesn't really matter "If someone is a Mormon, or a JW, or a Calvinist.", or even a Christian or not, but it does matter if a person actually seeks Jesus Christ and listen to Him by faith or not!!
I am not saying those group tell others what I just explained, any more than many Christian do. They don't from what I have seen. Never-the-less there is something written about every tribe and every nation. Many are going to be surprise as to who makes it and who doesn't. And sad are the many who will tell Him all they did in His name, but will hear Him tell them that He never knew them!
Mat 7: 21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
So again, "How does the DEVIL Lie, using a Cult......like those?" The answer is that he speaks you like he spoke to Eve saying, "Indeed, has God said." So stop worrying so much about how he lies to other, and start considering the battle that takes place in you! Have you not even read:
Eph 6:12,13 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
See the "so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil"? So why are you thinking the devil is lying to " a Mormon, or a JW, or a Calvinist", but not you?

God will negotiate a faulty paradigm however, more often than not, mens pride in his conclusions 'cut of his nose to spite his face' and keeps him not only ignorant to God's paradigm but opens the path to doctrines of devils....yet totally unaware of it.
The problem with Satan being a lair is that we people, each of us, get caught up in those lies which come to each of us personally!!!
So it is not that Satan lied to even Jesus Christ Himself and the Holy Spirit lead Him out to be tested in such a way, but that we also are lead out and tested. That is for our benefit, our learning, our gaining understanding! Satan has plenty of followers, those dark spiritual forces, which do like he does. They lie to us, and in similar ways.
One of the ways, which I brought up on the OP is to tell us that they [the powers, principalities, and dark spiritual forces of this world) have control and that all you see belongs to them, so you had better bow down and worship them. That is the lie I was covering in the OP. It is a lie and it is spoken to you/us by those same spiritual forces which we each battle with!
This should be obvious to all Christians, should it not? We worship Jesus Christ, the Son of God who was put on the throne of God from the beginning, even from His time of coming into existence to be the beginning! And how is it we do not know this? It is in the Bible:
Ps 2:1 Why are the nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?
We people, even 'the peoples" devise a vain thing when they think God is not in control, and the devils promote that thinking!!
Ps 2:2,3 The kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us tear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”
Does this bring to mind when someone shouted at a Kamala Harris rally that "Jesus Christ was Lord", and she told them they were at the wrong rally? Why exactly did she loose? Could it have been that Jesus Christ, as the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORD made it happen?

Mat 26:53 “Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
and consider this:
Ex 33:2 “I will send an angel before you and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite.
Yeah, it might seem and look to us like Satan has control, but our KING, Jesus Christ, is above all! And if a single angel can drive out six nations before us, then what could 12 legions do? So who is really in charge? Who has been appointed King?

He said to Me, ‘You are My Son,

So Jesus was lead by the Spirit of God and was tested, and we to have our battles with the dark spiritual forces of this world - each of us - so don't believe the liar. All you see has not been give to that snake and his followers, but rather it was all given to Jesus Christ who was made King over all by His Father. Have we not read that all the Father has is His?

Did not the Spirit come and disclose this to us????

What about the Balfour declaration which eventually led to Hitler's endlosing as a try to end the growing movement of Zionism to put Israel on the map again, of course the devil knew that Jesus would return on mount Olivet (Acts 1:12, Zach 14:4-5) and wanted to delay his downfall. This Jew hatred is from hell with the devil in control, 2000 years of cruel antisemitism with as absolute low point the Holocaust, a systematic genocide as never seen in history before driven by demonic forces.
The devil hates Jews, they wrote the OT and NT, Jesus was a Jew, the devil knows his time is short.

is it about ethnicity?...has God and the Devil got favourites ethnically to both honour and persecute? Isn't all mankind in Adam? .....and the Devil's rage, wasn't it directed at God before the creation of the world? Wasn't the success of the fall of man an attempt of the Devil to get at God by destroying those made in his image?
The madness of the world with Jews is spiritual. OTOH, God has some unfinished business with Israel.

If and when a person really reaches the conclusion that "Human beings are hateful." - then there is really only one logical thing to do for any and all of those who are a "Human" - and that is to seek God and listen to what He tells you to do!!! To do anything else is to prove yourself wrong.
Of course this is a basic concept in Christianity, although we include a bit more than just being hateful. We include all sin, which includes all unrighteousness and not just being hateful. In fact, there might be a righteous anger, but if there is who needs to judge it? Only God. Therefore ,the Word of God (not the Bible and your understanding of the Bible), but Jesus Christ the Lord our God who is the living and active Word of God, needs to be sought and listened to.
But if a person writes:
Then that is not "The Lord says the devil is done away with".
The Bible does not speak - it doesn't say - and so in the Bible we read things like, "it is written"
And interestingly, both Satan and Jesus were saying to the other "it is written"!
Mat 4:6,7 and *said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,
‘HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU';
and
‘ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP,
SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.'”
Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.'”
So if both Satan and Jesus understand the Bible are words written, who then thinks the Bible speaks so as to write, "the Bible says".
Humans do that. We tend to make idols, even without knowing it! Meaning that we apply attributes of God to inanimate objects - like speech.
'UHH' - maybe someone it thinking, we are just talking about semantics, right?
Maybe we are, but perhaps we are applying attributes of God to things like ink written on pages???
Indeed - perhaps we are 'throwing ourselves down from a high place' spiritually speaking?????????
Are we actually leaning on our own understanding of the Bible, or are we actually seeking Jesus Christ, the Lord our God, and listening to Him?
Is it not written “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!? And are we not also told to test the spirits because many of them have gone out into this world, and they have a leader, right? And The Teacher, who is Jesus Christ is teaching you all this, right?
Luke 9:35 Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”
1John 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.
So, are we seeking Jesus Christ to hear what He personally has to say to us, and testing the spirits to make sure we don't wind up hearing from the wrong spirits- those who follow that snake of old? Or are we leaning on our own understanding of the Bible so that we write "the Bible says'?
Even Satan knows the Bible doesn't say things, but being against Christ (the anti-christ) he probably loves the fact we replace listening to Jesus with our reading and our understanding of the Bible.
