"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER

ONCE SAVED....YES....it’s FOREVER.

I see the DENIAL crowd, blowing hot air, curiously, conveniently:
HAVE FAILED to give their Testimony of HOW they were SAV-ED and LOST their Salvation...

@Grailhunter
@GodsGrace
@Renniks

Don’t be shy, tell us HOW you were Saved- and HOW you lost your Salvation.

@ScottA (Your OP, calling your attention to this post)
ONCE SAVED AND ONCE ONLY. No second chances.

I am saved because he had mercy on me.

Otherwise, I could never be saved

You keep making it about what God has.

Do you not know, A MAN IS SAVED BY WHAT A MAN DOES?
A man CALLS OUT TO THE LORD.
A man HEARTFULLY CONFESSES BELIEF. JESUS IS THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD
A man REPENTS of HIS SIN.
A man LAYS DOWN HIS LIFE FOR THE LORD...

A MANS ACT....Has NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT GOD HAS.
WITHOUT a MANS ACT....Gods mercy, gift of Salvation, gift of Eternal Life, promise to be forever with men, on and on.....DOES NOT APPLY to a man...
WHO DOES NOT FIRST “ACT”.

Did I say anything about not being tempted? I said that a genuine child of God does not wish to go back to his former sinful ways. He has repented -- turned away from his former sins and idols. That does not mean that he cannot fall into sin. It means he has no desire to live a sinful lifestyle. And if he does, it should be obvious that he never repented. And God has given His children the Holy Spirit so that they can resist temptation. "Sin SHALL NOT have dominion over you". That is in Scripture.
Um any sin in your life is a sinful lifestyle. And Christians all sin, so? If we don't want to sin why do we? Seems like you want to have your cake and eat it too.

You are describing the difference between "believing" and "knowing." But one who is in God and God in them, cannot doubt. It is finished.

Keep on knocking. Ask God for confirmation.
Nonsense. Of course we can doubt. In fact I doubt there's a Christian alive who never doubts his faith. Why would we be encouraged not to doubt if it wasn't an issue?

If I am "in Christ" it is finished
This is simply taking two unrelated passages and presupposing that they are directly related. It's like pairing together "Judas went out and hung himself" and "Go and do thou likewise." It is a basically flawed hermeneutic.

Correct.

WHY?

Because SALVATION is a GIFT given for a mans Truth.
The MANS TRUTH.
The MANS WORD.

AND WHAT HAPPENS “IF” a man calls on the Lord gives his MINDFUL TRUTH, and the next WEEK, changes his “MIND”?

Because he did not give his word, by the truth in his heart.
He was NOT SAVED.

Because he gave his truth from his MIND, and “changed his MIND”, Changing his MIND, made his MINDFUL CONFESSION “A LIE”.
He LIED to the Spirit of God.
A man who LIES to the Spirit of God, VOIDS his opportunity to Receive Gods Gift of Salvation.
It would have been better for him to have kept his trap shut until he was TRUTHFULLY sure in his Heart. THEN he would have RECEIVED, Forgiveness and Conversion.

What that man DID was, sentence himself to damnation....and God will oblige.

So? What is your point?
People can abandon the faith?
People can have an unbelieving heart?
People believe for awhile and then fall away?

Does that APPLY TO YOU?

So? You describe an UN-SAVED person....
What does that have to do with a SAVED person...?
It's evidence that OSAS is incorrect.

DOUBT does not APPLY to the SAV-ED.
DOUBT does APPLY to the UNSAV-ED.

You are revealing much about yourself.

Every single person who HEARS the Word of God,
IS
GIFTED FAITH from God.

Hearing....................DOES NOT MEAN SAVED.
Receiving Faith..........DOES NOT MEAN SAVED.
Believing...................DOES NOT MEAN SAVED.
Going to Church.........DOES NOT MEAN SAVED.
Following...................DOES NOT MEAN SAVED.
Christian...................DOES NOT MEAN SAVED.
Tempted....................DOES NOT MEAN SAVED.
Baptized in Water........DOES NOT MEAN SAVED.

Any
PERSON CAN...
Hear
Receive Faith
Believe
Go to Church
Follow
Call themselves A Christian
Be Tempted
Be Baptized in Water

AND NOT BE SAVED!

Any UNSAVED Person...

Can...Hear, and STOP Hearing
Can...Receive FAITH and FALL AWAY
Can...Believe, and STOP Believing
Can...Go to Church, and STOP going to Church
Can...Follow, and STOP Following
Can...Be a Christian, and STOP being a Christian
Can...Be Tempted
Can...Be Baptized in Water

AND THEY ARE STILL NOT SAVED!

Read the Scriptures...There are plenty Examples of people, hearing, receiving faith, believing, going to church, following, baptized in water......
AND....WERE NEVER SAVED!

Sheesh!

Shouting makes you look desperate.
I have read the scriptures that's why I know real believers can fall away and deny Jesus.

So after considering the CONTEXT, it seems most likely that "he was sanctified" should be understood in the sense of someone who had been "set apart" or identified as a professing believer in this community of Hebrew Christians, but later renounces his identification with other believers, by rejecting the "knowledge of the truth" that he had received, and trampling under foot the work and the person of Christ himself. This gives evidence that his identification with these Hebrew Christians was only superficial and that he was not a genuine believer.
Good grief. What a lot of twisting scripture to avoid the thought that you might be able to be decieved and fall away. Why are people so afraid of the truth?
Nonbelievers set apart? I don't think so.

18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

Not sure what your reading. But it is quite clear that non of these people we a part of us.
Not when they left. Many false teachers were once genuine believers.
