Revelation was written during Nero's reign before 70AD

3 - The 6th king in Revelation 17 is the one that persecutes the saints. Roman emperors are (1) Julius, (2) Augustus, (3) Tiberius, (4) Caligula, (5) Claudius, then (6) Nero. Nero was the first and only Roman Caesar of the Julian line to persecute Christians. Nero's death ended the Julian dynasty. The one ruling after him reigned only a little while, Galba, 6 months who was the seventh.
This can be found in any history book of the Roman Leaders who started with Julius Caesar from July 100 BC to 15 March 44 BC.
If you have found another sequence for Revelation 17 from a reputable source please post it for us all to learn your views.
If you do not make any further posts concerning my other questions that are the true focus of this thread, may we cordially agree to disagree with each others views towards sound-doctrines that promote godliness in those we might ever mentor? While hopefully “remembering” the focus of this thread which is to strive to build up Jesus' inheritances with doctrines that do not "slander" our Father God's vision for us "all", whereby "all" would "always" include some heretical sinners as Paul had become, as well as those saints as Timothy apparently was from a very young age?
Whereby Holy scripture is plain [See “+” note below] that our Creator Father God in Heaven is tirelessly working towards His “hope” that "all" of His prodigal children would “eventually” become "converted" on a daily or moment by moment basis towards “doing” the simplicity of the gospel messages in our present life-times, and eventually also into the eternity ahead for each of us when we would pass over.
[+: <> 2 Peter 3:9 - - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
<><
<> 1 Timothy 1:16 - - Paul wrote: But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.
<><
<> Colossians 1:20 - - And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
<><
<> Matthew 20:12 - - Saying, ‘These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’]
Ultimately at the end of our days let us each have trusted in Christ Jesus for our individual eternal salvation, and then for today may we continually strive to resist evil in all of its forms that we may ever see in our lives, so we each might become more abundantly fruitful in building up Jesus' inheritances within the earth.
We are all in training to be a little more like Jesus every day, one day and one step at a time.
Again, thank you for your posts and prayers. They will eventually be fruitful towards everyone who might someday read this thread.
In Jesus love,
A Servant of Jesus Christ

John 10&15&17 & Revelation 21
2 Timothy 2:15-16 (15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (16) But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness. (ESV) (KJV) (16) But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
2 Peter 3:10&18 -- But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. . . . Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless ones and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
