The bible, when opened in order to validate beliefs, must be seen with open eyes and in search of truth.
That is why proper hermeneutics must be taught. Man has a real problem with exegesis - which requires much more honesty and examination that eisegesis - which is how to many doctrines have been established by man.
The Bible has truth, but it remains hidden because, despite what so many claim, people don't want to reexamine the proof-texts which have been thrown at them for a very long time.
So, does God provide truth? He already did. Then does He guide us into seeing and understanding what has already be written? Absolutely,
I don't expect Yahweh to write more to add to the scriptures - so it is a complete book - at least the manuscripts are. Our translations often don't match the thoughts given in the manuscripts. God simply responds to our prayers for truth USING the manuscripts for truth.
I guess as believers in the Creators, many have become so zoomed in that all they can see and will consider is one particular book. As one who was guilty of being so narrow focused, I had missed out on so much other knowledge of God, from God.
Since zooming out, I have been able to explore new truth and receive new revelation of our Creators Themselves, what They are doing and what They are going to do in the future.
It is absolutely fantastic and I would encourage everyone to be open to be led by the Spirit to looking more broadly.
Personally I love being out in nature and looking out for what the Spirit is communicating to me. With no bible in sight. I would say that probably every time, He informs me of new things. It's awesome.
If that's too extreme for you, take a bible with you until you can go without it. Be assured that the Spirit will be accompanying you. If you have ears to hear He will communicate with you directly and you will receive new revelation.
