This wasn't a recent phenomenon. Here's an excerpt from a transcript of a sermon early last century which offers some interesting insight into Protestantism, and why it presents itself as you witness today...

In Chicago, Ill., December 5, 1912, an assembly of three hundred and nineteen clerical delegates from thirty professedly Protestant denominations intentionally and expressly repudiated the word “Protestant.”
That is an occurrence of such importance as to demand the serious attention of all: especially all the people of the United States. It is my purpose tonight to make as plain as possible both the fact and the meaning of it.
The meeting by which this thing was done was the “Second Quadrennial Meeting of the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America” which was held in the Hotel LaSalle, Chicago, Ill., December 4-9, 1912.
This “Federal Council” is composed of thirty or more denominations, having a total membership of “more than seventeen millions.” It was originally organized by five hundred delegates from twenty denominations, who met for the purpose in Carnegie Hall, New York City, November 15-21, 1905.
In its original organization this “Federal Council of Churches” was expressly and distinctly Protestant. In the call under which the convention met in New York City the object of the proposed meeting was distinctly stated to be “to secure an effective organization of the various Protestant communions of this country”; and “to form a bond of union that will enable Protestant to present a solid front,” etc. And now without any pressure from without, and without any issue or crisis to demand it, but spontaneously and voluntarily that professedly Protestant organization openly and expressly repudiates the word “Protestant”!
And this occurred in the very first business meeting of the Council, and in dealing with the very first “Report” that was made to the Council: that is, at the first possible opportunity.
The occasion of it was this: The “Executive Committee” presented its report. In that report the committee expressed the “earnest hope that the Second Federal Council will make yet more clear certain fundamental facts as to the churches of the country, through their federation.” And the first of these was “The fact of the substantial unity of the Christian and Protestant Churches of the nation.”
No sooner was opened the discussion of the report, than that word “Protestant” was challenged as if it were a mortal enemy. “Why emphasize a word that is not a uniting but a dividing word? a word that recalls a most unhappy and trying experience,” said one. “By using this word, you make it more difficult for many of your Christian brethren to work with you,” said another. Discussion was soon cut off by a motion to resubmit the report to the committee for revision eliminating the word “Protestant.” And this was so done as to express the “earnest hope” for the “fellowship of Catholic unity.” Then the report was promptly and unanimously adopted, and with applause.

How often do we hear today ideas presented in similar way as to those bolded above? Protestantism more than anything else has, in America, been the catalyst for freedom, and through which God provided the impetus for the principles found in the US bill of rights and the constitution. The destruction of Protestantism has always been the first necessary step that needed to be taken before any possibility of success could be had in implementing tyranny. It is not a coincidence that Catholicism for centuries has coveted America as a prize for the Vatican. Nor is it a conicidence that Catholicism despises the constitution. Nor is it a coincidence that American Protestantism has been a prime target for Jesuit intrigue, assassination of Protestant and uncooperative Catholic presidents. Nor is it a coincidence that the SCOTUS is now predominantly Catholic. And neither is it a coincidence that the current debacle in the election count has been undermined by a Catholic supported Democrat party led by a nominal but willing Catholic to surrender American sovereignty to a foreign power. And I'm not talking about China.

Americans should not be surprised at what is going on, they were warned by their founding fathers and several presidents since, both secular and Protestant, and even the only Catholic president gave the most clear and profound warning in a speech not long before his assassination regarding secret societies. Unfortunately Protestantism has been blinded to the numerous clues and links between what is now called "progressive" politics and Catholic primacy and the take-over of America. Credibility is something easily lost. If ones opponents become demon possessed people who are part of the deep state etc. one has lost focus on individuals and groups and fallen into conspiracy theories.

Trump was unusual because he was not a successful business man but an ardent self promoter who was willing to lie about any and everything.
As we stand today he has lost the presidency. To the atheists in our society there point will be "Your God failed"
And they are not wrong with the prosperity church crowd, or Bethel, or any number of prophets or doom sayers.
It is ironic because climate change is a serious issue, which needs to be tackled, along with population growth and population moving.
If you want to help stop people moving north, we need to address why the climate is getting hotter.

Our young no longer believe we have a future. That is a serious social and political issue, relating to children and generations to come.
If they see no reason to have kids, society ends. And our society rests on people between 18-35 having kids.
This is a profound problem, which for generations was actually never really an issue. The young need to believe in what they are building, and it has to be more than just vague promises.

It is a similar issue that our society was actually structured around people going to work. Without that need, working from home, community centres shift, city centres die and something needs to be remodelled. No great conspiracy, just what has happened.
