On June 23, 2014, Kenneth Copeland, along with James and Betty Robison and other evangelical church leaders, met with the Pope in Rome at the Pope’s request. The purpose of the meeting/breaking bread was to come together under the guise of CHRISTIAN unity... I labelled this meeting the Judas kiss and believe that prophetically speaking... this activated something in heaven to shift. GOD will NOT be MOCKED.
Ken believes he is Jesus on earth, co-equal with Jesus, in authority and power.
So to speak to another who says he is Jesus's anointed apostle, that his decrees are binding on the body of Christ, is it any wonder they are in agreement, though their decrees are very different, they claim a similar anointing.
And culturally and theologically praying for the dead, purgatory, Mary and her "ministry" of appearances, may be less far than golden teeth, rubies and diamonds, feathers from angels, getting messages from the dead.
Whatever Ken says and does has no bearing on the work of Jesus. You can wear christian clothes, speak christian words but that does make you a follower of Jesus. It is in the fruit of the Spirit breaking forth in the heart and the deeds and words that align with Jesus and the apostles that the truth is declared. My son attended an anglican church following Bethel fellowships. The vicar came with a word that the spiritual block in his life happened when he was 8 years old. The problem is whatever idea jumps into these guys minds is God speaking, so comes out of their mouths. So Covid has been got rid of, hurricans dispelled and Biden not president.
Put simply a self serving, greedy, self indulgent preacher who preaches greed and conquering will find himself conquered.
It is just absurd to suggest the elect follow such a man or his ways. If you want a curse on your political ambitions it is to be backed by someone like this. I remember not reading in scripture Jesus has body guards and lived in a security protected house with a private jet to tour the world at his whim. Jesus had nowhere to lay his head, was always in danger, and just preached openness and love, trusting in Gods will and provision. Jesus did not aspire to recognition, he waited for people to listen and see His work in peoples lives. His model was to lead others in the Kingdom you had to become their servant.
I fear for the "rights" of believers if this is the example of the fruit of such openness and charity. As Kingdom people we fight for the rights of the poor and disadvantaged, those who do not get justice and for truth to be spoken. Our method is through hard work and delivering for our communities. We pray not for ourselves but to honour God and recognise everything comes from Him. Whether we pray in silence or openly we never stop praying.
