Addiction is not something that's uncommon in human behaviour. It comes in many forms and almost anything can become addictive, even things we consider healthy could become a crutch. Like working can turn into workalcoholism. Like saving money can turn into stinginess. (You get the idea)

So this is where I can explain the practical side and application of that theory I've been banging on about. How you and I can weed out and prevent compulsions from forming.

Addictions are formed because there is a belief attached to it, we continue to maintain or I'll say feed our addictions via that particular belief. An example of this is someone who keeps believing they'll win big at the casino, but unfortunately becomes a gambling addict. Another example is someone who keeps believing if they drink alcohol they can deal with people better, but unfortunately just like the gambling addict does not end well.

Now it's important to note that we can all have different beliefs that feed our addictive habits (Personalised beliefs) Like someone might believe that they gamble to win big so they could help their family and friends. As for the alcoholic, they might believe that it helps them sleep at night or helps them socially.

So the solution for that someone would be to rid themself of the belief first, which is not the same as quitting the habit first.

This thread has been up for a while, and so far it's received no replies. I am starting to think that you'd rather watch your world burn down around you than do something about your beliefs.

The world will burn. That, in part, is why followers of the Messiah “do something” about their belief.

Although if you stick to the rules of responsible gaming, at the casino site you can multiply your capital and experience unforgettable emotions! Another example is someone who keeps believing if they drink alcohol they can deal with people better, but unfortunately just like the gambling addict does not end well.

In general, we're always walking on the edge and need to feel the line between addiction and need.
