I'm not Catholic but I'm confident that Jesus welcomed Francis into Heaven. I was brought up into all kinds of churches and have found good and bad everywhere I went. Pope Francis, I believe, will end up one of the "goodies."

Look, SOME of you people are using the Pope's death as a springboard to bash the Catholic Church with your anti-Catholic, uneducated, unenlightened pseudo-"knowledge" of this particular church.

As Christians (and I'm sorry to disappoint some of you, but Catholics are Christians too, whether you like it/believe it or not) we're not supposed to judge wrongly. Y'all think you have some monopoly on the history of Catholicism, singled out the few who HAVE misbehaved, made unfounded claims that the RCC dismisses the Bible*, that we pray "to" Mary and the saints, that we "worship" statues, yadda, yadda, yadda, *yawn*.

Meanwhile, nothing is further from the truth.

Pope Francis was one of the BETTER Popes that the Church has had. He tried to be open-minded, asking for others to pray for him so he could guide us. He was a humble man, although some of you think of him as an anti-Christ....

Years ago I came across a guy that was raised catholic who aspired to become a priest in the catholic church.

But, he desired Truth above all else and the Lord delivered him from the false teachings of the catholic social club (it's not a church)

Jesus also said not to judge WRONGLY.

Judging correctly is why others must be told that the catholic church teaches false doctrine.

Which is why true believers must warn catholics that they are following a satanic cult that leads people to hell.

They teach things the Lord does not so they are in opposition to the Lord teaching things that lead people away from the Lord

What you were speaking is accurate as I've known people back in my partying days that were catholic and the did all sort of sinful stuff and laughed it off saying they'd swing by the catholic social club and confess to their priest who would declared that all their sins are wiped away

Aside the differences between Protestants and Catholics. (Which will never be resolved)

Pope Francis is NOT going to be missed by the devout Catholics from the USA or Africa....or even Italy for that matter.

There are MANY calls by conservative Catholics for a new ultra conservative pope (can't remember his name) to help restore the church to traditional doctrinal beliefs.
(IOW no more LGBTQ+ Doctrines allowing them into the fold and have access to communion)

The body of Catholics are upset with all that Francis encouraged and allowed. (Ratzinger tried to fix) And considering the new slate of Cardinals which will choose the next pope....
It don't look Good for Catholics.

I see a rush to protestant denominations in the future. Just saying.

Just like the Methodists had a massive split....the Catholics might as well have one too. This will make for the second split for them. I wonder how they will fare in the next "holier than thou" contest.

Actually that's how many catholics live - they engage in all sorts of sinful behavior thinking it's all good since they can swing in to to the local catholic building, confess to the priest, say a few hail marys, throw a few bucks in the offering plate and POOF they think all their sins are wiped away.

Yes, I read all of your post and noticed a portion within your post that will cause some to stumble thinking it's possible to follow catholic doctrine (which is false teaching) and still be a Christian.

In other words, your post mixed in dangerous error with a little truth

This is what one does when they want to kill a wild dog by mixing in a little poison with some hamburger meat.

The hamburger meat is 99% good but it's the 1% of poison mixed in that causes death.

Saying it's possible to follow catholic doctrine and still be a Christian is poison that will cause some to die if they believe what you said and go join the catholic church and end up in hell.

I'm trusting you really don't want anybody to end up in hell, right?

I compared catholic teaching to what God says in His Word and the catholic teaching is different to what God teaches.

Feel free to stick with the catholics. I'll stand with the Lord.

Are all Christians in church denominations saved? Are all righteous? Are all child molesters Catholic?

When one gets into church it is easy to figure out that it can be a travail to see Christ formed on the inside of any human being. "My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you." - Galatians 4

There is good and evil in any church. If anyone is trying to live a good Christian life within a church identified as Christian... We are not allowed to imply that they are not Christian.
