I stand by what I said the pope he was a Great Spiritual leader in our time who led his people in troubled times fighting for the poor he can rest in peace with God and receive his reward.Hundreds of thousands of us were praying for his soul for weeks.

‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over your time upon the earth working to bear fruit for God I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master and receive your reward.

I'm not Catholic (anymore) but I'm confident that Jesus welcomed Francis into Heaven.

Are you Catholic?

Yes I am fully sacrament wise I have explored other Christian Churches and have come back I am saved by my faith in the death and resurrection of Christ like everyone else it is where I have put all my faith and hope. The Catholic Church celibates his sacrifice at every mass the sacrifice I have put all my faith hope into I won't find it anywhere else like in the Catholic Church at least for me.This is my faith I respect your faith and journey to God in Christ where we all hope to meet one day in joy.God bless everyone and may we all enter into his Joy as I know Francis has.

Everyone seems to have their own doctrinal differences and they are irrelevant to salvation. What's important is following the Great Commandment. May God bless you too my brother.

Confessing to priest is against the bible what did Jesus send his disciples out to do and it was not just the 12 - what were they doing?
This is all one sentence….so let’s break it up to make some sense of what you said…..
“Confessing to a priests is against the Bible”…..it is because there were no “priests“ officiating in the first century “church”. The Bible clearly indicates that the Christian priesthood was to be served in heaven, made up of God’s elect, and an office to be served at a future time.

Rev 20:4-6…New Catholic Bible…
Under the heading….”The Reign of the Martyrs: Return and Destruction of Satan”.…it says….
“Next, I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given the authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for bearing witness to Jesus and the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. They WILL BE PRIESTS of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

What is this telling us? It gives us a timeframe for the rulership of the Christ and his elect…the time of the beast and it’s mark on the foreheads and hands of the people. We are talking about today and what is soon to take place. Only those who did not receive the mark would be saved. These “lived” at that time, because their resurrection had taken place in preparation for the kingdom to “come” and take over the rulership of redeemed mankind…a time for God’s will to be “done on earth as it is in heaven”. (Daniel 2:44)

It then speaks of “the rest of the dead” who are raised during that 1000 years reign of Christ and who are cleansed of all Adamic sin…they finally come to experience what perfect sinless life was meant to be.

But those who experience the ”first resurrection”, will be priests of God and of Christ”…not that they “are” priests already before their death.

So confessing sins to an earthly priest is not what scripture says…..we are to confess our sins to God or to those who might help us regain our spiritual footing…..the leaders in the congregation who may become priests in the heavenly kingdom, but who have to die and be resurrected first….and in the timeframe that the Bible states…..
Its all nonsense and anti catholic jargon I hear it all the time.I bet you have never even investigated you just repeating the words of others you have no personal experience or actually really looked into it.
Having studied the Bible with many Catholic people over the years, I am certain of one thing….they know very little about their origins, or the origins of their doctrines. When they see from the Bible how far “the church” has strayed from the original teachings of Christ, they are appalled and often very angry that they were misled for so long.
Catholics are saved by faith in the death and resurrection of Christ just like every other Christian. Catholics are not told works saved that was a argument over the sacraments if you understand it.All Christians must bear fruit for God and Jesus himself clearly tells us to do it and what does he say - that your reward will be greater in heaven. If your not interested in a greater reward that's up to you Anyone trying to find their salvation in works simply does not understand the faith it is never preach in any Christian Church that works save if you understand it correctly.
And there is the clincher…..”if you understand it correctly”…. does the church demonstrate that it understands the role of faith along with works? That neither, on their own merit, has any sway with God. Where does it say that faith alone saves anyone.
James gives the example of Abraham and shows what faith combined with works looks like…

James 2:14-26….New Catholic Bible.
Under the heading “True Faith Is Proved by Works”. It says….
“What good is it, my brethren, if someone claims to have faith but does not have good works? Can such faith save him? . . . .But perhaps someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and by works I will show you my faith. You believe that there is one God. You do well to assert that. But even the demons believe and tremble. You fool! Do you want proof that faith without works is futile? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? Thus, you can see that his faith and his works were active together; his faith was brought to completion by works. You can see, then, that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. . . . .For just as the body is dead without a spirit, so faith without works is also dead”.

Are you arguing with Scripture?

As for the sacraments being works I noticed many are back in the reform Church not exactly in the same way with only 3 missing.Baptism, Sacred Marriage, healing oils and don't deny it even forms of communion in some of the reformed churches gee I wonder how that happened. The only ones that you won't see is confession confirmation and the holy order which does not belong in the reformed Church so they will never be there they are strictly Catholic so you cannot call them works if its something you do yourself. It's not even a argument anymore the only reason people argue is that they don't understand what the original argument on works was about to begin with. They think its actually preached when clearly it is not.The doctrine of works is the sacrament if you do understand it.Go ahead tell me the sacraments are works but don't do anything similar if your calling them works remove them and go back to faith alone before you do that .
I have no idea what any of that means or how it relates even vaguely to the teachings of the Christ….
What are “the original arguments on works”? Please tell us.

Please also tell us about the sacraments as these also pertain only to Roman Catholicism….
Can we examine the validity of them?
