We are all in a deep intense and very real spiritual warfare whereby if He had his way, Satan would destroy us all. Sometimes however, that warfare spills over into the physical world, and through fear and intimidation, Satan would seek to at least destroy our faith, where we grow discouraged and fearful. There are many instances in scripture where men and women of God are placed in situations where the enemy had a very powerful influence. One example is the writer of the gospel, Mark, who on his first missionary journey with Paul and his uncle Barnabas, got cold feet after witnessing some freaky wizardry stuff and went home. But God didn't give up on him. And He will never give up on you. Trust Him, surrender all to His care, and trust in His Providence.
