Hi there,

I have asked for this in the past and it wasn't really successful - I think because people didn't really understand how their dreams could help share the Gospel. What I am asking is: "Have a dream, that will be relevant to someone I meet"? I am happy to reciprocate the favor, just let me know who you are and I will pray to the Holy Spirit to give me a dream. This is about mixing prophecy (about a specific person) with spiritual dreams. The trick is to have an open mind; you don't know the person, you don't know their situation - but a message from the Holy Spirit might change their life!

I hope this has been clear - pray for a dream to save someone, today!

God bless.

PS. I will get in touch, if I successfully share a message.

How about asking for the same opportunity in a different way?

"God please provide this opportunity for me" or "God please give me the ability to do X."

I could be wrong, but I don't remember a single verse in the Bible that says "ask God to reveal a person in a dream" but there's a whole lot about "just go out and preach."

In fact, if you have been in a Christian community long enough, you'll see people are more divided and deceived by dreams, than just following the Bible and prayer for opportunity. There is a lot of spiritual warfare in this kind of thing.

See, asking for God to reveal a person to you in a dream is a symptom of lack of faith and desire for control, rather than the faith that he will lead you on his own. You are better off surrendering to his time and place and waiting for the Holy Spirits leading.

The most recent dream I had was of a single piece of chocolate (Toblerone). I have Toblerone in the fridge waiting for Christmas lunch. I think the dream indicates that I don't know what will happen at the lunch.

Case in point.

Saying that dreams are not a solution, contradicts scripture, which says that God is ready to give dreams and visions.

I am not upset, but it is hard to understand how the scripture can point to the importance of prophecy and yet people doubt that prophetic dreams will help?

So for years, and years, I had a lot of dreams that kind of led me astray. So I kept getting things that would prove themselves, that it would be spiritual and not of myself.

One day, I was really wrestling with myself because of the things that I was hearing. I was at work, and I heard something say to me, "Don't worry, *my name*, it's just au jus sauce. When I walked out to go do something else there was a cart with the au jus sauce. This stuff happens to me a lot but it was a lot more active then. I cannot tell you what it was.

So it's not that I discount the prophetic, at all. But having multiple experiences over the years, really taught me, we have got to be careful and not mess around.

Many of my dreams were not from God and I believe because I was so actively involved in the dream stuff at the time, that THAT is the stuff that led to things like sleep paralysis and things I cannot even mention here.

These are not games. They can be extremely difficult. My mental health is so, so much better since I learned to regulate myself and not chase it. I am not a superhero. I am not on a mad spiritual quest, other than the basic principles given to every person. The sermon on the mount stuff.

I have experiences, from time to time, but for my sanity and for the sake of spiritual safety, I am on the gospel road. Anything miracle that happens, is God's. Not mine. I don't need to ask for it. It is HIM. I am a way, way mentally healthy person simply by resting in trusting Him.

Brother, instead of asking other people for dreams that you can use to bring a word from the lord for others, why not ask God for a word of knowledge that will help others yourself? It does not have to come through dreams. I have had dreams and visions (mostly visions) since I was a child). However, there have been many times I have been around a person that I don't know and God will give me a word of knowledge so I will say it to them and it has been accurate. It's the Holy Spirit that leads you and gives you words for others, in season or at the right time. I can be right next to someone and there is nothing, across from me though, there may be someone else and the lord is speaking to me about them. Sometimes he gives a whole history of them, sometimes it's just something they are going through at the time. Ask God for a word in season for someone before you leave your home. xox

I think the dream about the chocolate (Toblerone) was just meant to encourage me to try to set an example for my extended family (at Christmas). In reality I never ate the chocolate, and I don't think anyone else did either. It's like God was saying "You know when to celebrate, but you don't praise Me for the celebration"?

Anyway, it goes to show that dreams can help witness - I am going to keep praying for that.

Can I ask if you are under the belief that every single dream is prophetic or on God's occasion?

The more you pay attention to dreams, the more your brain remembers them. But remembering them does not make them prophetic.

What I'm asking is what differentiates it for you?

Sometimes a dream is just a dream and I say this with love and concern.

I'm worried that you might be listening to dreams a little too much and getting distracted into a deep rabbit hole. Don't stray off too far in the woods. Read what the Bible tells you and pray about that. It is the safest route.

And if you don't listen to that @Gottservant , which I don't think you will because I have also been convinced and I wouldn't have listened either, remember that - should you ever feel confused or like you were failed. "Why didn't this work" or "why didn't this happen" or "I thought God was telling me this."

Don't be confused. Just remember being talked to and then go back to basics. Prayer, worship, Bible.

If you've ever had a time in your life where you were dating someone and all of your friends and family were like "Hey this person wasn't good for you," but you were too infatuated to listen and then later you wish you had listened, it is similar to that. You do not want to hear it when you're caught up in it, I know, but hopefully later you will remember: Basics.

Then don't get mad at people because they're not listening to your dreams. Maybe God just doesn't want you to- unless it is from him. Pray about it. God protects his children and will comfort you.

All I can think, is that you are supposed to love me (as a Christian) and as a Christian I know how I want to be loved (in dreams).

We are supposed to be of one mind, and I am of one mind about dreams: that they are symbolic; also we are supposed to develop skills of prophecy, and dreams are also prophetic.

This is straight out of the Bible, and I can personally attest that it works (I've tried it).

If you want me to do the same for you, just ask! I am upholding the golden rule, here!

I can't.

Number one, if it was God, I'd be testing God.
Number two, if it wasn't God, I'd be inviting something else, meaning putting you or myself in danger.

Sometimes loving someone doesn't mean telling them what they want to hear. Love is more responsible than that.

I had a dream a few days ago. I heard, "What's wrong, (my name)? Don't you think God can make it snow?" Then I saw snow falling and woke up.

I have absolutely no idea what that's about. If I was meant to, I would get it or it would be revealed in time.

Yesterday, I was working and I had a significant urge to do something and speak to someone about a concern. I don't know why, but I know the feeling and I've learned to discern it, and when I haven't listened in the past, I always wish I had listened.

I will pray for you that God will bless you with discernment regarding dreams and the supernatural, and keep your mind clear.

At least you know where you stand and what you stand for. I was in no way trying to take you away from that.

But know this: how you stand with regard to dreams and visions and prophecy all affect how you will be rewarded at the Great White Throne Judgment - not what you didn't do for me, but what the Great Faith of the Holy Spirit did through you.

Ask and you shall receive, that's what my faith is based on here.

It started to work, for a moment. I was in the spirit at work, and I had this thought "this is like the dream someone said they had" and I realised that all I could do was pray (that people learn about Jesus).

Maybe if you won't help me, that's what happens, you have a strength in the spirit, but because you never exercised it in your lifetime, in the next life it means very little?

I will be polite, I'm not suggesting you should feel threatened; I am asking that you pray for a dream that will help my evangelism!

I feel like one of the things I was missing during my time was usually we only hear about God-given dreams in church.

We don't get to be aware of the opposite side of things, but God did warn about false dreams.
  • "Did you not see a false dream and tell a lie using your secret ways when you said, 'This is what the Lord says,' when I have not spoken?"
  • "My hand will be against those who see false dreams and speak false words".
And in Jeremiah:

  • Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," declares the LORD. "They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least," declares the LORD.
I'm not saying you're doing this, but I am saying the Bible is very clear. There are dreams from God and also dreams that are not from God, and sharing the dreams that are not from God isn't safe.

And then there's a question of when it is from God then? Well, pray for discernment, line it up Biblically, and if you're in a gray zone, then see what happens, I guess.

Wanting to do work for the Lord is good. Wanting to minister is good.

But wanting to follow paths that may have not been from God is dangerous.

Let me tell you how I learned.

I followed dreams and signs for eight years believing God was leading me to someone, and what God planned was to draw me himself and get me out of witchcraft.

What I learned during that time many Christian churches have been infiltrated by new age teachings. Try basic Christianity. Just prayer and Bible, and yes, teach the gospel.

You do not want to get caught up being distracted by your own self that comes from experiencing spiritual deception. It's about reliance on a perfect Shepherd. He can take care of it his way and if you trust him, he will.

"I pour out my spirit on mankind and they shall be filled with dreams and visions" (from memory).

Evil dreams may be evil, but dreams from the Spirit of God are supernatural!
