People say you can not lose faith, God can't lose you, is that true?

Eternally Grateful,

That just a deflection. Going around the long way about saying - possibly that you do not know.

Hebrews 6:4-6

New American Standard Bible 1995

4 For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, [a]since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.

It seems possible... of course - this pertains to the going back to the LAW, rather than sticking with faith in Christ, and partaking in the holy spirit.

Can you explain this passage to me?

1 John 2:
18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you[e] know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

I see this different

anyone who goes to any church has tasted the gift of the spirit just by being around other believers. we call this blessing by association.

In this passage. The author is warning people who have come to the church, and now want to return the law. Telling them that if you leave, you can (will) not ever come back.. Because your heart will be too hard..

This is true.. You always go to where your true faith lies.
ETernally gratefull,

Okay.

Jesus spoke and said;

Matthew 5:

33Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’m 34But I tell you not to swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; 35or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36Nor should you swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black. 37Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.n

They weren’t Born Again, they didn’t belong to God.?
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you[e] know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

Because we have been birthed in the Spirit?
22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

Amen!.....

@Ritajanice,

No. What I can do is encourage you to pray and ask God about it, mediating on what is shared from Jesus that he learned from his Father Yahava.

All the best,
Matthew
Why on Earth are you posting scripture, if you can’t even interpret what it’s saying?

This is a Bible discussion forum, not a troll forum.

Anyone who posts scripture should be understanding it and able to interpret what is being said, it helps other Christians ...you imo, haven’t a clue what you are talking about....please don’t engage with me again and I certainly won’t be engaging with you.

Ritajanice,

??? - Saying no to a question is trolling? That seems a bit nonsensical. Yes we are on a forum, but no one has to submit what everyone else around you wants to do. Imagine if Jesus Christ did that, and did not obey his Father.

All the best in Christ,
Matthew

Your right, your not obligated to answer

But that passages shows you that people who claimed to be part of the church, and now deny Christ (lose faith) where never part of the church. they were never saved,

Which answers your question of can people lose faith and willingly walk away..

If your not willing to look at passages. then I am not sure why we should even be discussing the word..

So, don’t post scripture if you haven’t a clue what it’s saying..you’re just confusing believers...

its more than that

If your going to post a scripture.. then you should be able to respond when others post scripture.

if your not going to respond to other people. you should not post your own..
