Here is a quick reminder . Since many today use the word love . Let us examine to see
if the love we think is love is compatible to the TRUTH of GOD and HIS LOVE .

For obvious reasons, you want to change the subject - to the importance of being saved. No one is disputing this. This thread is about OSAS and Matthew 7:21 ties work as responsibility to calling Jesus your Lord. Period.

But later in the same letter this is written:

1 Peter 4:1-2
[1] Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; [2] That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

For:

Romans 8:13
...if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Have you mortified the deeds of the body in order to be among those who are kept by the power of God?

Because:

1 Peter 4:18
...if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Do you take him at ALL his word?
