Please pray for Doug, husband of my friend Patty and father of two teen girls.

A couple of years ago, Doug had heart surgery. They said his neck arteries are very clogged (100% and 70%) but they couldn't do surgery on the neck.

He felt very ill the other day so went to his doctors. The doctor now said his liver reading is high. They have had him on statins so that might have caused the liver problem. He will be going back for more lab work.

Anyhow appreciate prayers for him. He is the main wage earner and takes care of their family.

I will keep Patty and Doug in my prayers. My doctor knows I hate pills and so she tells me what food to increase in my diet to correct whatever levels are bad. The liver can rejuvenate. It is the only organ that can, which is why we can have living donors. The donors donate less than half of their liver and in time it will grow back. But if the whole liver is sick it can't rejuvenate a sick liver.

What a heavy burden, for the father and principal supporter of his family to be laid up; his anguish is real.

We pray that God comfort him and his family, and assure him of God’s concern for both. The path forward is dim, but he can trust in God to lead the way.

I don't like going to the doctors. Do my blood work and that's all...just take a thyroid med twice a week, lowest dose.

Thanks for telling me the liver can rejuvenate! I'll tell Patty. Already told her Doug should ask his doctor about taking co q 10 since statins reduce that. And co q 10 is good for everything in our bodies I heard.

I saw Doug about a week ago. He was very thin in his face and neck...I was surprised at how he looked.
