I would find it easier to believe that he was emotionally manipulated to pretend he wasn't gay. It's basic "reparative therapy"I do have intimate personal knowledge of an immediate family member who was emotionally manipulated into believing he was homosexual, and finally came to his senses. In the process of clearing this up, we discovered that it happens all the time. I've also been privy to similar occurrences of this among extended family members.
And that's all the evidence I need.
Of course, you would.I would find it easier to believe that he was emotionally manipulated to pretend he wasn't gay. It's basic "reparative therapy"
And decades of looking for evidence of this has turned up nothing. That itself might be a lesson.
Evidence?
You, fellow "Christian,"
Do you find these verses a compelling reason to change the Sabbath day from the 7th day of the week to the 1st day of the week?
At least it had a happy ending?Of course, you would.
And I suppose this could quite readily fall under:
- "Prove it!"
Dev, this might interest you. :) @dev553344
Thing is, he's my son and he's a PTSD shut-in who lives in my small, single-family home. We're all extraordinarily close. He's a fine young man.
We taught our children to love Jesus and His law, so when he told us he thought he might be gay, we knew immediately that the best thing we could do was be supportive, give him space, pray, and wait. We were determined to maintain our policy of standards in the macro and compassion in the micro (before we even knew that way of stating the policy).
He had already begun to express leftist political sentiments and there was absolutely no pressure from us to reform. And he never gets out of the house except for doctor's appointments, so the possibility of him being influenced to seek basic "reparative therapy" seems unlikely, at best.
When he told the other young man that he thought he might not be gay, he was immediately ghosted.
What started the whole thing was that he was so moved by the man's (likely quite legitimate) testimony of having formerly been abused and discriminated against that he experienced deep compassion, unlike anything he ever had before. This, he later realized (without any influence from us) he had mistaken for romantic love. He still cares about the other young man, so he keeps tabs on him the best he can. The man was shortly after arrested for possession of child pornography but it seems he might have been implicated simply by sharing a laptop with the actual perpetrator.
It should be interesting to see how you're going to puke all over this testimony. Perhaps you could surmise that my wife got him some basic "reparative therapy" behind my back or something, although him being as stubborn as the day is long would probably preclude such a theory. Anyway, you've already outed yourself as one who rejoices in iniquity and is heartbroken while angels rejoice over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:7).

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.www.biblegateway.com
At least it had a happy ending?
AgainHow is discrimination, false witness, and dehumanizing attacks love?
our basic arguments boil down to 3 bullet points:
- "Prove it!"
- "That's not fair!"
- "I know you are but what am I?!!"
You cannot answer a question with a question. Not an answer to my question. GIVEN, that homosexuals will not inherit God's kingdom, can you understand that loving Christian would want everyone inherent God’s kingdom?
Did you ever hear that the term ‘conspiracy theory’ came from the CIA in the 1950’s to dismiss those who observed their mischievous actions in foreign countries?I heard just yesterday, quite unsurprisingly, that there is actually training available to atheists who wish to infiltrate Christian forums. A conspiracy theory is only a theory until reasonable evidence is found
I've had sit-down discussions with them and they teach that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday in the New Testament.
I've heard that before too. What Scripture do they rely on to support this idea?
Do you find these verses a compelling reason to change the Sabbath day from the 7th day of the week to the 1st day of the week?
Neither do I.Okay, I'll bite:
NO
Neither do I.
Honestly, I am bewildered at how such things - void of actual Scriptural teaching - in Christianity generate such passion.
BTW, growing up Catholic it was explained why our society has 2 day weekends. Saturday, to keep the Sabbath holy. Sunday, to celebrate the Lord’s Day.Folks want only good news about their bad habits.
.
It has been documented extensively. There are even therapists beginning to specialize in helping men and women who have experienced such things.Of course, you would.
I don't see how but it seems to be your way of dismissing me.And I suppose this could quite readily fall under:
- "Prove it!"
For someone with no connection or reparative therapy or ex-gay ministries you sure know all their catch phrases.Dev, this might interest you. :) @dev553344

I'd ask you to expand on this myriad of lawsuits but I believe your only response would be to dismss me with a "prove it"Not to mention the myriads of emerging lawsuits over gender-crossing therapies and surgeries, which you'll doubtless deny are valid, relevant, or accurately reported.
.
I can only guess that you know what you do is anything but love but jut don't care to admit it.Again
it's called Socratic maieutics or Socratic questioning. look it upYou cannot answer a question with a question.
Isn't that exactly what you are doing?Did you ever hear that the term ‘conspiracy theory’ came from the CIA in the 1950’s to dismiss those who observed their mischievous actions in foreign countries?
It really is slander, a type of Appeal to Ad Homenim - AS IF the object of discussion is beyond disrepute, dismissing all criticism by this throw away term.
That’s racist.
That’s sexist.
That’s bigotry.
That’s a conspiracy theory.
All the same fallacy.
It has been documented extensively.

Odd for me to read so much divisiveness about this on our forum.
Mindlessly going with the masses. When the majority is going one way, that’s a sure sign that is usually the wrong way. What do you prefer to be divisive about?
It is love. You just have your poles reversed.I can only guess that you know what you do is anything but love but jut don't care to admit it.
