Love the pie and mash...and I also would say 'yuk' to the eel concoction.Thank you Apak x
I have three years before I retire, unless of course I die before next summer !! ( well I am one of the vaccinated ! )
My heart sank at the recent meeting when they announced we had to sign something. I am not sure what I am going to do yet, I have been praying about it and ever since that I have been In situations at work where i have been reminded of why I went into care in the first place. If many of the carers and housekeeping teams leave, then it’s the residents that will feel the impact and the rest of the team that is left behind. I just feel for the pressures that are being placed on people that really don’t want the vaccination, for what ever reason. To fire someone on the grounds of refusing is just so wrong. I have only met one work colleague who agrees with it, but many have just signed despite their views. Even if I do eventually sign I am not going to not share the burdens I have about it to management and anyone who asks me why I am refusing to sign it straight away. It’s already sparked some interesting conversations off…….
Dad is already ‘ into the football season ‘ . My son went up to watch a match in London with his father in law , they had pie and mash and ‘ eel liqueur ‘ over the mash ( I like the pie and mash, but ‘eel ‘ yuk !!!!!!!!!
We usually have a family tournament where we get teams in the premier league, the person with the most goals wins, we usually have 1 team from the lower end and 1team from the higher…….we need to sort it out as the last one got stopped because of lockdown - perhaps I will get Leicester !
I will, we are called to fight different things in different ways. Thank you for your mutual respect as I know how opposed you are to the vaccines, you have never been nasty to me about my decision. I still have no conviction that it was a wrong choice, and yet here I am burdened deeply about this aspect of the equation……..Love the pie and mash...and I also would say 'yuk' to the eel concoction.
Stay positive as I would keep working to this end if faced with a similar situation. I know its all easier said that done. Pray for blessed intervention, for the patients in the homes and the staff...
Keep the faith Rita. I can tell you are a fighter for a just cause...x....

Apak over here in the U.K. mandatory vaccines come into law from the 12th November for care homes. We have been issued add ons to our contracts that have to be signed by the 11th November , by signing we agree to have vaccinations that the government and the NHS issue, this includes any boosters. I thankfully have medical grounds not the have the boosters as they are the Pfizer one. However at a recent meeting, and on the government website religious grounds will not be taken into account , nor will pregnancy be classed as a medical reason to refuse the vaccine. ( which I think is totally wrong )
I am in the process of weighing up my options, if I don’t sign,or don’t comply I will be fired. Personally even if I signed I would carry on making a free will choice with regards to any future vaccines, but by signing I will be giving my employee a reason to lawfully fire me as I will be in breach of my contract. I have a one to one meeting with my manager in sept as I am refusing to sign it at the moment. This will come into force within the NHS, care community throughout the country , so anyone working with vulnerable people will face the same dilemma in the coming six months. At the moment it’s just carehomes.

It figures. They want to be part of the survivor class, and there are many unlisted, when the #@TF or when we have a real odorous mess on our hands, coming down the pike.Swamped with Projects, -- but I did run across the following which I had to stop in and share:

Yes she has Cristo.....Im confused Rita... Have u taken the shot or not?
It seemed like first you said you hadn't then u said u did, now your saying this
So which one is it, have u taken the experimental injection or not?
If you haven't taken it then your using double standards in telling others to take it.
If you have taken it then you've just fallen into cognitive dissonance cos you were firmly against it to begin with and then have no right at all telling others to take it...
Its all screwed up either way... You make up your decision and let others make up theirs which includes talking and winging about it amongst ourselves without your unwarranted indignation
I am also defensive about the whole topic as you....I just found out that a neighbour, one community over that I speak to a lot took the shot the other day. And he vowed he would never take it.....She has... But she's talking about signing and her job...
Look, whatever... As long as she keeps her BS away from me i don't really care. Same with all these vaxxed people preaching their false gospel
I can keep my cool with with my family but the rest can get lost as far as im concerned. They're mentally retarded
Why don’t you read my posts a bit closer Cristo…..I have NEVER said I have not had the vaccine, and I have always said that I disagree with mandatory vaccines..so quit with accusing me of BS.Im confused Rita... Have u taken the shot or not?

I didn’t respond to your post, I responded to something Apak said in an earlier post.
I am standing up to the mandatory enforcement, in line with the freedom to make a choice.
Please show we where I was against the actual vaccine ……I have always instilled that it is personal choice, either way. You have completely attacked and misunderstood what I have said. I have never condemned you for not taking the vaccination. Where in my post am I promoting that people should take the vax ……

Welcome Rita....I believe you have awoken and risen up then.....Great Day!Apak, many thanks for the way you responded to my post yesterday, you got what I was saying and why, it was nice to talk with you. I don’t have many people that understand my prospective or dilemma within the work place right now. The Lord laid two words on my heart this morning ‘ Rise up ‘ ….a few years ago it was ‘ wake from your slumber ‘ …….I found that quite interesting, need to reflect on it. Xx
Praying for you about this Rita! A difficult choice for anyone. I simply pray that God will direct you in this so that when you know His answer for you, you will follow Him. The right answer with God may be painful for the flesh. Trust God!Apak over here in the U.K. mandatory vaccines come into law from the 12th November for care homes. Good idea about paying some bills ahead....

Welcome to the future, with some 14 months to go. Hope you are preparing enough food & necessities to make it, -- and it may be prudent to Pre-Pay your utility bills several months in advance --, among other considerations.
