It is written in John 4:31-36 “ In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.32 But he said unto them, “I have meat to eat that ye know not of.”33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

34 Jesus saith unto them, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.”

Think about how mankind labors so hard to fill their own desires and their own bellies, only to be hungry all over again until finally one day they perish.

But Jesus said John 6:27 “Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.”

Jesus also said in Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

So hunger and thirst after “the meat” that does not perish.

Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after “righteousness:”for they shall be filled.

Let His will become your will, let His desire become your desire, let His meat become your meat.

Philippians 1:11
Being filled with the fruits of “righteousness,”which are “by Jesus Christ,”unto the glory and praise of God.

2 Corinthians 9:10
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase “the fruits of your righteousness;”

Ephesians 5:9
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;”

Hebrews 12:11
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable “fruit of righteousness” unto them which are exercised thereby.

James 3:18
And “the fruit of righteousness” is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Proverbs 11:30
The “fruit of the righteous”is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Proverbs 12:12
The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of “the righteous”yieldeth fruit.

Proverbs 10:21
The lips of “the righteous”feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

Proverbs 10:16
The labour of “the righteous” tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

Galatians 6:7-9

King James Version

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Peace

From Slaves of Sin to Slaves of God

15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were [e]delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness [f]for holiness.

20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit [g]to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the [h]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
