What's with the backslash?
LOL
Good question.

I liked how @BarneyFife added a period (.) at the bottom of his posts to give the signature line more room.
At least I assume that is why he does it. This is actually a common artistic touch used by professional artists.
Adding a tiny bit of "white space" below the "work" on a page gives it better visual buoyancy.
Otherwise it looks like it is falling visually. That's the theory anyway. As I understand it.

The other funny thing is that everyone calls it a "backslash", but it is actually a forward slash. /
Because it leans forward in reading order. (right to left) This is a backslash. \

From the OP.

At one time I was bothered by the fact that we don't really have ALL the answers.
There was always a loose end somewhere.

I chased the apologetics in every direction, but always came up short somewhere.
And frankly, I don't remember the specifics, only the moment of my release from the tyranny I had inflicted myself with.

I finally realized that I needed to leave some room for faith.
To live with some mystery. To admit that I didn't have ALL the answers.

Just got told God won’t save you, and God doesn’t exist, you know… I said I can’t prove anything there are evidences but it’s by faith I believe. Got leave some room for some faith, I don’t got all the answers either but if you seek them out Yahavah will help, sometimes there is just no answer, your right, Steve. Just got to leave them to Yahavah and hope the spirit and it’s call reaches their ear.

\
TEACHER: Class, what's the most important punctuation mark?

JOHNNY: The period.

TEACHER: Very good, Johnny! And why is the period important?

JOHNNY: I don't know, but my sister in high school said she missed two in a row and mom and dad were really upset.

Ro 11:33O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Ro 11:34For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

""In Christ are hidden all the Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge"

And where is Christ?

He's "Christ IN YOU, the hope of Glory".

So, the born again person has inside them, available to them, "all the Treasures of Wisdom and knowledge" because the ONE who possesses all these, is joined to the person... as "IN Christ"... "One with God".

The reason the believers fumble in the dark and stays deceived and powerless, is because they have become the victim of some man made doctrine, that has cut off God's supply of wisdom of knowledge, and that is why they are saved 20, 30, 50, yrs, and have not learned anything more then they knew 50 yrs ago, regarding what it means to exist "in Christ".

They are stuck here..

Hebrews 6:1......

Why?
Because they didnt do what Hebrews 13:9 told them to do.. with their HEART...(faith)....so, some devil like John Calvin, or "church fathers", took their mind.

Everything that we need is available to us, but until we have surrendered all finally to God this is not I believe, equal to all that we want.

Its not about surrendering.

What are you to surrender now?

Give up candy?
Netflix?
Coin Collection?
No more chocolate?

":Lord I promise i wont miss evening Church service next year, like i did the last 12 yrs, because i stayed home to watch the Super Bowl"

God does not require you to confine yourself to a small cave, with only a candle, a bible, and a "Middle ages" painting of Jesus, completed by Titan.

He's looking for STUDENTS.........of the word.

That is not the same thing as .......coming to a forum to argue what (your) denomination teaches you to repeat about Mary or "errors in the Bible".....Reader.

God is not a denomination.
There are no denominations in Heaven.

So, to receive from God, is always available, unless the person is rooted in some man's "doctrines of devils".

Catholocism

John Calvinism

Just to name a few "man made doctrines" that will take over you mind, and shut off the Holy Spirit, so that this "mind captured" person, can't learn anything from God, or from a Teacher, or from a Bible, or from anywhere.

Mt 26:39And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Three times he did this, saying those same words... and us? What are we to do? What are we to be?

1jo 3:2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

We all like to think we're free of denominational influence. But a great majority of faithful Christians still believe the stuff they were taught by them.

There is a difference between non-denominationalism ('I'm withholding judgment') and anti-denominationalism ('I'm judging'), and the latter is all the rage (especially in the US) today but, as with mere opposition to anything but sin itself, is simply one more kind of comparative self-righteousness ("I thank Thee, O God, that I am not as...") that human nature craves and fashions for itself.

So true. IMHO
Our religious upbringing maintains, or tries to maintain, a tight grip on our religious beliefs.
I use the word "religious" because oftentimes these things amount to denominational opinion.
And we tend to focus on that instead of the "relationship" issues. (with God and humankind)

Christians have the choice to let a religious institution determine their beliefs, or take personal responsibility for what they believe.
Blaze your own trail through the wilderness, or leave it with the "professionals". - LOL
Making your own way is hard work.

Good points, But I suppose a person could use the term "non-denominational" as a judgment against ALL denominations. ("We'll have no part")

I was raised in a non-denominational community church. At one point they preferred the term inter-denominational, because it had a more open and positive vibe. But then came ecumenicalism. That's not what we meant.
