I did that with my kids Helen xxoh us too. :) All my life we drank our tea with milk …milk must go into the tea after the tea is poured , never before. ( so some Brits do… I’m old enough to remember the shock of tea bags arriving on the screen! @Pearl .
My parents never used them . When I moved to Canada in my 30’s we did then start using tea bags.
Parents may be horrified these days to know that when my kids were 9 months old we put a dash of tea into their milk bottle just to colour it and give it taste .
Most kids I knew , grew up on the good old British “cup of tea “ which we Brits know , always all the problems .
But, never never never add sugar to it! Yuck . LOL
I remember my father helping me with homework when I was 8 or 9 but given that he was 48 years older than me, in laters years it was best not to involve him.
I'm not quick with stuff but by observing things at my own pace I have found treasures, such as the pleasing pattern produced by multiples of 9.

Do you drink it out of a mug or cup and saucer Pearl ?
Earl Grey always sounds so posh to me ( I like the taste though ) just reminds me of posh afternoon tea with cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off !!!!!( oh and don’t forget to lift the little finger as you raise the cup and drink……Hyacinth bucket comes to mind !!!! Lol )

Puns always welcome, Addy, and of course historically the difficulty that a lot of tree stumps present when their removal is desired has led to the meaning you describe.@Stumpmaster... and here I thought your name was derived from the art of baffling people... only to discover
that your name is based on your profession of tree trimmer and remover... LOL
I've got Spanish Guitar music playing, approaching midnight here.Good morning coffee (and tea) lovers!
7:10 am on the east coast here and the sky is looking all kinds of lovely!
Just enjoyed the first espresso of the day, listening to some soft jazz and waking up nice and slow today...
I can't even imagine the job you have to do.... where to cut... how to cut safely... what to cut and/or simply trim... I have watched this being done... and the neatest part is that there is no mess afterwards if one chooses to pay for the removal of the parts.... they have a wood-chipper that totally EATS all the evidence... LOLPuns always welcome, Addy, and of course historically the difficulty that a lot of tree stumps present when their removal is desired has led to the meaning you describe.

Yes, we pay a higher levy of compulsory Accident Compensation Insurance because of the danger. No room for complacency. I am 90% retired now, as is my special name of "Walks-On-Trees".I can't even imagine the job you have to do.... where to cut... how to cut safely... what to cut and/or simply trim...
