That is a very good question.... we have these little lights with men on them... they tell you when to cross... and when not to cross.
So... when the man is GO.... you can cross... when it's NO .. you can't... so... CROSS walk.

Vehicle traffic lights are established to control flow of traffic. In inner cities, block after block are traffic lights. A vehicle driver HAS an expectation to beware of a possible pedestrian crossing the street...where a traffic light is present....but no expectation of a pedestrian crossing the street between where traffic lights are present ... called jaywalking...and is illegal.

In this scenario, both the vehicle operator and person walking have a clear expectation of who will be occupying a particular portion of the street at any time.

In another scenario, only vehicle operators have an indication that something may at anytime cross the roadway....like:
Deer crossing...the Deer can't even read, and don't always cross where the sign is posted...

Deer crossing signs are for vehicle operators to Beware....and 3 times AFTER seeing a deer crossing sign...she expected no deer to cross a road....but they did...SO...she wants the signs removed....She should be ticketed for killing a deer out of season for lawful deer killing....BECAUSE there IS no Law against being an IDIOT!

I think in light of the weather ... where it is raining cats and dogs and squirrels... It's gonna be a SLEW the puzzle day.
I believe I have graduated from 1/4 finished to now 1/3 finished... Will aim for 1/2 finished today.
