It's early but I looked back and don't't see anything. Is it because the guys were sitting in a circle? That's how you sit in AA, show and tell, rehab meetings, Bible studies.

I don't know what other shape a community is supposed to be, but everybody has got to be looking at each other somehow.

The rest just seems symbolic to see it visually as a form of therapy for prisoners.

I know witchcraft, @amigo de christo and am pretty good at identifying it. But in this case, it seems not like they believed the rocks were doing anything, but it was a symbolic view of what God was doing for them.
Right. We hold hands in prayer and always form a circle to pray.

It's nothing. Wedding guests circle the bride and groom. Square dancers and cloggers form circles to dance. Children used to hold hands in a circle and sing, ring around the rosy. Even race cars go around in a circle. How about a 3 rings circus. Have you ever told yourself you were going in circles? It's nothing.
In our Bible Study group, we would stand in a circle, hold hands, and pray together. (Gasp!)

May the circle
Be unbroken,
By and by, Lord,
By and by.

(Since this thread is about singing praise, this song is about circles - and praise to God for the hope we have in Christ that our family circle will in the end be unbroken.)

And as for using rocks as a written medium for confession... Read Jeremiah 13:1-9, where God uses the prophet's dirty underwear as an object lesson to His people.

I need to find a praise song about Jeremiah's BVDs. Somebody MUST have written one for a children's Sunday School class, right? Or Vacation Bible School?

KJV translates אֵזוֹר as a "girdle" and the context says that it was worn against the loins. In modern English, a girdle is a woman's undergarment, which would imply that Jeremiah liked dressing in drag. (If you think Amigo gets excited about circles and stones, let's really get him going about THAT.) NASB simply translates it as "undergarment" and NET as "loincloth".

The only song about Jeremiah that I know is this one by the lovely voice of Sara Groves, referencing Jeremiah 20:9. It's not really what I'd be looking for in a praise song. And Lola is definitely out.

I am sure it was done in ignorance . As a form of therapy . People do things in ignorance sister .
But there was and is no need for us to do any such thing .

God used symbolism throughout scripture.

Numbers 21:7-9
[7]Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
[8]And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
[9]And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

This is a perfect example sister . But read on and see what Nehushtan means .
DID you know that GOD had that very golden rod destroyed by a king .
WHY . WHY would GOD destroy the very THING he had told them to keep .
Because men had made an IDOL out of it sister . men love to make idols of things . And even a good thing
can be made into an idol . Read more and more in the bible sister . OH you are not being accused at all by me .
IN fact i am very happy you brought that to my reminder . As the LORD quickly brought that other reminder to me
in the scriptures .
And when does it end sister .
You got tons of catholics saying the same thing about their own idols . OH its just representations .
I was not accusing any , in fact i said later they did that in ignorance .
But we dont need to do ANY of that sister . Truth is we need only to PRAY TO GOD IN JESUS NAME . its real simple sister .
Please do not see this as an attack . I know you know the truth sister and i do not see you as an enemy .

God used stones

Joshua 4:1- And it came to pass, when all the people had completely crossed over the Jordan, that the Lord spoke to Joshua, saying: 2 “Take for yourselves twelve men from the people, one man from every tribe, 3 and command them, saying, ‘Take for yourselves twelve stones from here, out of the midst of the Jordan, from the place where the priests’ feet stood firm.

Water came from a rock and God was on it.

Exodus 17:6 - Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.”

Jesus is the Rock

1 Corithians 10:4
- and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

Before preparing for a Prison ministry group I was in, we sat in a circle and there was a bowl in the middle of this circle of men. This was a way to cleanse ourselves before God. We each were given a white rock and a pencil. We wrote a sin or problem that binds our spirit on the rock. One by one we walked to the bowl and placed our rock in it. The rock symbolized Christ and we gave the sin or problem for Jesus cleanse us. The rocks were then placed on an altar and then emptied in a washtub to rinse it away. Amazing how this works.
One of my ways of 'cleansing' was to imagine that when I stand under the shower the water is the fountain of life taking away all that is unclean in my soul. I learned this from a series of teachings by Selwyn Hughes.

^ what @TLHKAJ said

It's just symbolic.

Regardless, this was an act out of faith in the blood. It's an object study and a therapeutic act.

Witchcraft is an act of no faith in the blood and rebellion against the blood. When people are using objects in witchcraft, they have the belief that the "universe" of your own works are in control.

I wrote about it months ago after a revelation. If you guys want to see it, let me know. I'll post a different thread and paste it.

I never shared it here because I'm not really sure why I wrote it and it was more cleaning my thoughts about the new age VS Christian faith.

Luke 19:14

Because people were worshiping it.
Yes . now i wasnt saying you all were worshipping the rocks .
its all unecessary and in truth its in vain . We dont need any such thing .
Sure under the law men had to go to the priests or to the prophets for a word
No longer today . The priests had to wear certain clothes
and perform cermonial washings . all which if we examine was representing
the TRUE but not THE TRUE itself .
Lest you think we still need to do such things . A new covenant has been given .
a far and better way and living way . To which NOW we ourselves need
no earthen mediator , such as priest or etc , TO KNOW GOD .
But i do have a questoin . Please answer this one too .
What is your view on destiny cards . You know when the church memebers
go before others and have thier angel destiny cards read to them .
THAT be sorcery that is christanized . NOW that is witchcraft. what do you say about it .
Its tarot cards , only they changed the name into DESTINY cards .
And they read the cards to whoever sits before them to tell them their destiny .
I bet you see witchcraft in that . I sure hope you do anyway .

Okay , lets discuss circle makers . What that means is
they teach you to draw a circle around an object, a word , something you desire
and GOD will hear that request . what do you think about that .
Or about destiny cards , which are really tarot cards claoked in under the guise of angel cards , destiny cards .
What about that my dear sister . what would you consider that .
