Jesus is God but is not the father.
In John 1:1 Jesus is the word of God, who was WITH God, and also WAS God.
God, with God, in the beginning.
It takes two, to be WITH each other.
You can’t be WITH yourself, but can only be BY yourself.

As a small child, this was the first verse of Scripture, I heard, repeated, memorized, remembered.
John 3:
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
