Jesus appears to John in a vision over three decades after his ascent to heaven, and told him:

Rev. 3:
12 ‘The one who conquers—I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will by no means go out from it anymore, and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the New Jerusalem that descends out of heaven from my God, and my own new name. 13 Let the one who has an ear hear what the spirit says to the congregations.’

So, discussing the heavenly temple, he refers to the central place of worship for the God adored by countless invisible spirit beings residing there, next to
the throne of the Majesty of the Universe and His heavenly temple, and in the surroundings.

What is the Trinitarian perspective on the God of Jesus, who is worshiped above? Do Trinitarians recognize that Jesus, serving as high priest, worships a God in heaven?

Jesus worships his Creator, of course! God is not a High Priest and never will be! They are taken from among men!

Hebrews 5:1-2 (ESV)
For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness.

All the best with your thread! Hope it goes well... @Brakelite @Wrangler

@ElieG12 you know I count on one hand in this forum those (@Wrangler) who can speak to the Christ being beset with weakness.

They are chosen and treasured jewels Mal 3:17.

Have you checked how many times the God of Jesus is mentioned in the Christian Greek Scriptures?

Rom. 15: 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant you to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that unitedly you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Cor. 1:3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.
… 11:31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, the One who is to be praised forever, knows I am not lying.

Eph. 1:3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for he has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in union with Christ, 4 as he chose us to be in union with him before the founding of the world, that we should be holy and unblemished before him in love. 5 For he foreordained us to be adopted as his own sons through Jesus Christ, according to his good pleasure and will (…) 15 That is why I also, since I have heard of the faith that you have in the Lord Jesus and the love that you demonstrate toward all the holy ones, 16 never stop giving thanks for you. I continue mentioning you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the accurate knowledge of him. 18 He has enlightened the eyes of your heart, so that you may know to what hope he called you, what glorious riches he holds as an inheritance for the holy ones, 19 and how surpassing the greatness of his power is toward us believers. It is according to the operation of the mightiness of his strength, 20 which he exercised toward Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named, not only in this system of things but also in that to come. 22 He also subjected all things under his feet and made him head over all things with regard to the congregation, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills up all things in all.

1 Pet. 1:3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for according to his great mercy he gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance. It is reserved in the heavens for you, 5 who are being safeguarded by God’s power through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last period of time.

From Jesus' point of view, who was the God being worshipped in the temple in Jerusalem?

Trinitarians cannot simply answer the simple question; does it make sense that God (Jesus) has a God?

The mental gymnastics is fun to watch.

I find the ignorance on display to be sad at best. The answers to these things are all in the Scriptures, and are routinely ignored.

Why bother addressing this all over again?

Just move the thread to the non-Christian portion, or just delete it, and be done with it. Enough heresy!

Much love!

If you do not honor the Son, you do not honor the Father. For shame!

Much love!
And, if don't honor the Father, are you really honoring the Son?

Matt. 7:21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.
22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

John 6:
45 It is written in the Prophets:
‘They will all be taught by Jehovah.’
[Is. 54:13]
Everyone who has listened to the Father and has learned comes to me.

Those who heard Jesus understood Him. They endeavored to stone Him to death because,

John 10:33 KJV
. . . because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Those who heard Him understood. Why not you?

Are you talking about what those liar Jews, who used false witnesses in a religious trial, said?

I'm telling you what the native speakers understood what Jesus told them.

They understood, you don't. They were there, you weren't. They were native speakers, you aren't. So you can kick and scream all you like, it doesn't change facts.

Much love!

I'm telling you what the native speakers understood what Jesus told them.
And what did Jesus tell them?

John 10:34 Jesus answered them: “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said: “You are gods”’? 35 If he called ‘gods’ those against whom the word of God came—and yet the scripture cannot be nullified— 36 do you say to me whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?”

He's challenging their thinking that Jesus is committing blasphemy, but He did NOT challenge their conclusion. And there is so much more but I'm not interested in rehashing it all with you.

Much love!

...He did NOT challenge their conclusion...
I think he did when he said:

John 10:36 do you say to me (...) ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?”

He is saying something like:
I NEVER SAID I WAS GOD, BUT I AM GOD'S SON.

But you do prefer to focus on what those Jews said instead of what Jesus answered them.

Because despite you denying it, there is such a thing as unitarian Christians. Therefore, it is inappropriate to move it to a non-Christian thread.

I'm glad they revoked the rule to talk about your heresy. If you do not want to talk about it, you do know that you are not required to post in threads that don't interest you, right?

Is 48:
“Hear this, O house of Jacob,
Who are called by the name of Israel,
And have come forth from the wellsprings of Judah;
Who swear by the name of the Lord,
And make mention of the God of Israel,
But not in truth or in righteousness;
2 For they call themselves after the holy city,
And lean on the God of Israel;
The Lord of hosts is His name:

3 “I have declared the former things from the beginning;
They went forth from My mouth, and I caused them to hear it.
Suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.

4 Because I knew that you were [a]obstinate,
And your neck was an iron sinew,
And your brow bronze,
5 Even from the beginning I have declared it to you;
Before it came to pass I proclaimed it to you,

Lest you should say, ‘My idol has done them,
And my carved image and my molded image
Have commanded them.’

6 “You have heard;
See all this.
And will you not declare it?
I have made you hear new things from this time,
Even hidden things, and you did not know them.
7 They are created now and not from the beginning;
And before this day you have not heard them,
Lest you should say, ‘Of course I knew them.’
8 Surely you did not hear,
Surely you did not know;
Surely from long ago your ear was not opened.
For I knew that you would deal very treacherously,
And were called a transgressor from the womb.

9 “For My name’s sake I will [b]defer My anger,
And for My praise I will restrain it from you,
So that I do not cut you off.

10 Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver;
I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
11 For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it;
For how should My name be profaned?
And I will not give My glory to another.

God’s Ancient Plan to Redeem Israel

12 “Listen to Me, O Jacob,
And Israel, My called:
I am He, I am the First,
I am also the Last.
13 Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth,
And My right hand has stretched out the heavens;
When I call to them,
They stand up together.

14 “All of you, assemble yourselves, and hear!
Who among them has declared these things?
The Lord loves him;
He shall do His pleasure on Babylon,
And His arm shall be against the Chaldeans.
15 I, even I, have spoken;
Yes, I have called him,
I have brought him, and his way will prosper.

16 “Come near to Me, hear this:
I have not spoken in secret from the beginning;
From the time that it was, I was there.
And now the Lord God and His Spirit Have sent Me.”

so either it is the prophet Isaiah who declared these things,

or it was the God of Israel.

oh. and this God was sent by the father and the spirit.

Yeah.
I was kinda happy that the Trinity was not allowed here.
But
It does create a lot of threads and some may even leave to go have this debate in other places.

Move it to the NON-CHRISTIAN forum....
Yes!

I really enjoy how some mark CHRISTIAN under their avatar....
but don't believe Jesus is God.

So WHO are they following if not Jesus the CHRIST?
What exactly do they think defines them as CHRISTian?

Are they not worshipping Jesus? Then they're not Christian.
Or are they worshipping Jesus? Then they're idol worshippers.

In either case....it's wrong since they don't believe Jesus is God.

And,,,that's really all I'd like to say.
This topic is tiring.

I get burned out when the forum gets flooded with these antichrist threads. Yes, allow discussion of the Trinity, but some of those who abuse the freedom to spam the forum should be removed.

I don't think you have to know everything to become born again. But for so many who claim salvation for so many years and who don't know Who Jesus is? Jesus is YHWH, there is no question about that.
