Once adopted always adopted.
I agree.
The prodigal always kept his sonship.
He defected . He departed.
What was his fate had he not repented?
He chose another path.
The father only moved towards him after repentance.
I totally understand the osas position, and I do hope they are right.
I see the other side of the debate, and it does in fact, declare in the Bible that some depart.
I don't know their fate, and neither does anyone else.
1 Corinthians says their works are wood, hay, stubble. It says they are saved, but their works are burned up.
The ones that benefit from osas doctrine are carnal, nominal believers.
The ones on fire for Jesus, have no need for such a back door.
Osas, indirectly, incubates sin.

I am adopted into God's family and as I said once adopted always adopted. Adoption is a legal process whereby a child becomes a legal member of its adopted family. And God adopted me the minute I was re-born spiritually,

Romans 8:15
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

We agree on that.
