One I never said Jesus lied and two at no point did Jesus ever admit to being God ... even when he was directly accused of it... why do you keep calling God Himself a liar....
He never denied it either..And he also never corrected anyone when they accused him of it. Including Thoman, who called him my lord and my God

Your calling God a liar my friend. Not me.

Matthew 1:23
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

John 20:28
And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

Acts 7:59
And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

Philippians 2:6
who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

Hebrews 1:8
But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

so you assume Jesus is God Himself because he never denied it .. show me chapter and verse where it is possible for God to lie...

Stop dancing around....

dude, as someone said earlier, your a troll or something. I just showed you multiple passages where Jesus is called God, not only by his disciple but By and Angel and God himself

Stop trying to deflect from he truth by continuing to ask a nonsensical question. and learn to study yourself.

I am done with your nonsense. I refuse to feed you any more. Good day

Good then you can also show me the passage that says that it is possible for God to lie... shouldn't be too hard then...

you miss the whole point... Let me ask you this one question... How do you know that God does not talk to people??? and I do not want you to use the Bible at all...

and yes you do actually have to answer the question...

I will get to your other questions in a second...
Why is it either/or? Yes God talks through the written Word and yes he talks to us, just remember if one contradicts the other then what you are hearing is wrong.

In the OT you see a lot more incidents where God speaks in what appears to be an audible voice. Sometimes he sends angels. I'm also pretty sure there were stories about creation and such that were from God long before the Torah was actually written down.

The Torah was written around 1400 Bc... So you have established that God doesn't speak to people through a Bible ..

God doesn't speak to people through a Bible ..

Jesus did:

“And [Jesus] came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias…” (Luke 4:16-17)

So what your are saying is that Jesus cannot speak to you without the Bible???.

Funny Jesus spoke to Paul while he was sleeping and not using a Bible ..

Hmmm... There goes that theory...

Also the book of revelation was spoken to John by God through Jesus... So that kills needing scripture to fit God to communicate with you because Daniel was given the same prophecy by God . So you are not making you point at all..

so why do you use the information contained in the Bible to try to prove there is no need for a Bible?

I want someone to show me where I ever said there is no need for the Bible ..this thread is about where you faith is...

I use the Bible to expose the lies people say .. which are a lot ..

If your Faith were in God Himself it wouldn't bother you one bit if I said to explain without using it...

Seriously... people have said I was hostile, sorry they sensed I was hostile to the Bible, but could never seem to justify their thoughts...

So what your are saying is that Jesus cannot speak to you without the Bible???

No.

But I think you’re hearing things…

Funny Jesus spoke to Paul while he was sleeping and not using a Bible ..

The Lord appeared to him at night, but the scripture doesn’t say wether he was sleeping or not. Acts of the Apostles 27:23

And in another place by a “night vision”, not a dream at Acts of the Apostles 18:19

And these things are written in our Bibles for our learning (Romans 15:4).

So you do not have faith in the Bible, correct?

Because you made it an either or ultimatum previously in this thread.

If you think that God or Jesus can only speak to your through the Bible, then your faith is in the Bible because you need it inorder to have you faith in God...

My faith is in God period.... I don't need the Bible to stay connected to God nor do I need it to remind me what I should do to become saved and inherit eternal life... Neither of witch is given by the Bible itself... It is you faith and the way you live your life ..

Are you saying that I said something that I didn’t say?

Yes. Nothing about his eyes being closed in the references I just cited. What scripture are you reading? Give the reference in case I’m mistaken.

[QUOTE="Michiah-Imla, post: 1371647,Yes. Nothing about his eyes being closed in the references I just cited. What scripture are you reading? Give the reference in case I’m mistaken.[/QUOTE]

Acts 9:8 "And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus."
