Is this place overwhelming just the typical run of the mill conservative Christians who ignore science and biblical scholarship?

So I’m just trying to see if I’m wasting my time. I’m getting the feeling by Christian this place is just mostly a cesspool of anti vaxxer, young/old earth anti everything marginalized alt right Christians. Or am I missing the college grad liberal science accepting side of Christianity here? If this place is just mostly Trump flags I can save myself a lot of time by bouncing and finding better places to expend my energy.
If we were all of one mind, you'd find no disagreements here, but I suspect, if you study the website, you'll find some disagreement.

Yeah….. yall are free thinkers and not deluded by fake science……everyone knows the conservatives are top notch when it comes to intellectual freedom and science lol.
Not top notch necessarily though some are. But one thing we arent is easily deluded and brainwashed by MSM who can only be trusted to do one thing.....lie their asses off. Because MSM and much of science treats us all as nothing but stupid gullible weak minded morons who will swallow any swill without question. Because many are too stupid, gullible and lazy to do some real research.

Yea, like respecting a women's right to choose - except for gas cars, gas stoves, incandescant light bulbs, large cups of soda, use of pronouns, calling a biological male a trans male, calling a biological female, a trans female, etc.

Science treats young earth creationism as a very dumb idea because it lacks scientific evidence of any kind and essentially all the scientific evidence we do have undermines it. Most of the Christian scientists also reject YECism. Out of roughly 8,000,000 less than 10k support yecism and most of them are not in earth sciences.

Let God be true and every man a liar. So who cares what men think. Most Christians do not reject YEC btw and many of those that do are either not Christians or just honest but ignorant. When I was a new Christian I accepted the New Testament wholeheartedly but largely rejected the OT as unproven pagan history. Until one decides to get off your butt and do your own homework

Take the example of Noah's flood.......history and geology and archaeology/paleontology actually prove it to have happened. Every culture in existence has some sort of flood story. We all know of the epic of Gilgamesh for starters.
Now the science
The Grand Canyon for example. It wasnt carved out by the Colorado River as is usually taught but by massive flooding. When you look at the example of Mount St Helens and the millions of tons of soil and rock that got swept away by flooding caused by the eruption you can clearly see how water can do massive damage in only a few hours or days and not just over millions of years.
There are fossil seashells on Mount Everest. There are whalebones in the Sahara. Near where I live there is a field of massive 100+ ton boulders that according to secular science were brought here by glaciers but they were most likely brought by...well, need I say it?

Every country in the world also shows evidence of remnants of massive ancient seas. In Alberta Canada there is a place called Drumheller where there is a campground, one that I visited when I was 10, Dinosaur Park (its called that because its also an area rich in dino fossils). The whole area used to be an ancient sea....proving that the dinos werent killed by a meteor.

There is also plenty of evidence of groves of trees that were killed and buried while still standing - totally impossible unless it happened over a few days or weeks.

I could go on but I have made my point

No Christian hates science. We all believe it has its place but it doesnt have all the answers

The bulk of Christians don’t believe in it. A large portion of Christians are liberals like Harris, Clinton and Obama. That’s just in America.

Excuse me sot. ignore me all you want; but this is a bold faced lie.

A true christian would never support Harris, let alone traitor is Obama, And Clinton?? Lol

well I guess he was not all bad.. as long as he did not have a young intern around. Or he did not need to take someone out who would hurt him.

Science is needed most definitely, but science can never prove Of God’s existence, imo,..that can only come by divine heart revelation.

There is no way that the Conservative Party will be able to influence my social views. Maybe someone can influence us some sort of low level discussion like when the Bible says this city, but we don’t know where that city is and there are three potential arguments for that city and maybe I feel like it’s A but someone here feels like its B and they present and convincing argument that it’s B I may change my mind. But on the broad strokes and general approach to science, theology and social issues it’s next to impossible to imagine we changing my mind by those who reject biblical scholarship, vaccines and so on.
I belong to no party . Are you saying you accept all biblical scholarship and all vaccines ?
Just so you know. There is absolutely no way whatsoever that things like young earth/old
Earth Christians will even remotely change my views on the new modern synthesis and the fact that humans evolved just like any other animal, mushrooms or plant.
Do you agree with the way God has treated animals in the bible and shown us how we should view them ?
One of my biggest passions in life in my faith is reaching out the teens and young adults who are questioning their faith because they think they either have to choose anti science heavily bigoted conservative Christianity or pro science loving atheism but I show them that there are far less toxic , less lukewarm versions of Christianity than what they’ve mostly experienced. Often these people have already abandoned their faith and still feel the pull of god but it’s overwhelmed by the hatred they have of the church and its abusive tactics. I show them that those people are not the only ones who lay claim to the word Christian. That their interpretation is not the only one.
I strongly believe in this motto.
“hate the conservatism not the conservative”.
The choice to be made from the very beginning is to choose Jesus as your savior and to follow his teachings . We do not need to allow others and their voices to come between us and God . The relationship is between us and God .Questions of faith need to be resolved between you and God by prayer and reading the bible .

The idea of "conservative " and "liberal" Christians was not mentioned by Jesus and this idea to divide Christianity this way baffles me .
Either you are a born again Christian accepting the bible as a translation of the inspired message from God or you are not Christian .

What do you have against conservative christians? I'm conservative and am an anti-vaxxer, but I also accept science.

Why? Are you a liberal?

But anyone who starts a thread with a repulsive insulting query deserves a hard rebuke. In his mind, we are all in an uneducated cesspool - just like all the Hollywood elites, Biden, Hillary who stated we are deplorables and garbage!
I understand I am like you and we let or flesh decide our course of action too many times , but what did Jesus say we should do ?

39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

That's a good point but personally I also think that there is a distinction between domestic problems like is spoken of above in your post, but certainly not in times of war. Does that make sense? Jesús also said if you dont have a sword then sell your Cloak and buy one (and their Cloak was a very important piece of their equipment for life), so, it's that important.

And if you ask me, we are at at a state of war right now in our country. Just because the bullets haven't started flying yet doesn't mean their not here and getting ready! This is a very volatile time with a Transfer of power to Trump attacks could occur at any moment in our cities. They still don't want DT in power, I don't care if they conceded he won the election or not, I know they have a backup plan!

The first plan was let's send a half-wit with a rifle to do it?! Lol! Did Kamala make that plan for them lol?!

I agree. Science cannot and does not prove the supernatural. There is no scientific valuable evidence that supports the existence of god. I choose to believe because of faith. Science is not relative to my belief in gods at all.
