Importance of the Sabbath: Rest, Worship, and Spiritual Observance.

Whenever certain folks today set out to keep the sabbath day, are they truly "keeping the sabbath?" To "keep the sabbath" as it was required under the old covenant of law involved compliance with specific regulations (Exodus 16:23; 35:3; Leviticus 23:32; Jeremiah 17:21) that were strictly enforced.

If sabbath day observances are still required today, then so would the burnt offerings which went along with them (Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3; Numbers 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13). So, no kindling a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath. (Exodus 35:3) Every man must remain in his place on the sabbath. (Exodus 16:29) No trading. (Amos 8:5) No marketing. (Nehemiah 10:31; 13:15,19) *These regulations were commanded by God to Israel. (Exodus 35:1-3)

If keeping the sabbath day is still in effect today, then why don't these folks (particularly SDA's) seek to obey ALL that the Lord has commanded? How can someone keep a certain law when they only keep part of it? If the sabbath day laws were still in effect today, then according to Exodus 31:12-18; 35:1-3; and Numbers 15:32-36, anyone who profaned the sabbath was put to death and any person who does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from his people.

Now who is going to enforce that? The Jewish synagogue? The Seventh day Adventist church or perhaps the government? Since we do not live under a theocratic state as ancient Israel did under the old covenant of law, no sabbatarian today can live consistently under these Mosaic regulations.

Stop reading your Bible and thinking Truth, religion does not like that!

and all who come unto HIM He has healed . Lest they should come to me and i should HEAL THEM
Jesus did physcial healings on the sabbath , but even more so HE IS THE HEALER of the great sin bruise .
There is a sabbath rest of GOD , THERE IS THE SABBATH REST OF GOD .
And HE who is Lord of the sabbath spoke of A DEEP SABBATH REST by which no man can attain
lest HE believeth on HE who once cried , COME unto me you who do labor and are weary and ye shall FIND REST for your souls .
Notice he said COME unto ME .
Let all labor to enter into THAT REST . But again beware
for satan can imply another kind of rest , a rest which has made the PATH VERY and i mean VERY Broad .
And those who have entered into this rest sure seems to be hating the words of truth and of HE who could have given them rest ,
ONLY MORE and MORE SO as their hearts are being ever hardened against the very truth that could have saved them .
We better all be on gaurd . The sheep heed the voice of THE GREAT SHEPARD and the voice of the stranger , THEY WILL NOT HEED .

Onward in the LORD my friend .
Many are making ready the the turkey and hams for thanksgiving
but do not realize the day and hour when their goose is cooked is fast approaching .
Me and a dear sister are doing a communion , Lord willing , on the morrow as we celebrate thansgiving day to THE LORD .
I was reading in lamentation a bit ago . Many have no idea of the wrath that is to come .
Many do as did the jews , who though GOD sent prophets to warn they did not heed and their house was left desolate .
Christendom is in dire trouble friend . It has made its bed with the lie and for this the wrath of GOD will surely come .
Not to mention by this lie and its false love will also come our own persecutions . When they persecute
us they WILL believe they do the will of GOD . marvel not david . that hour is approaching and many lambs even within
the western lands WILL be heavily persecuted . all in the name that our persecutors will believe is GOD and is necessary
to attain world peace . But for all this the LORD will DESTROY them . They will never achieve their peace n safety .
Its all a delusion and its one that many false ones do guide them all right unto .
The end is coming , the last hour wherein all hits a climatic peak is upon this generation .
We must do exploits while there still be time to do so . some will hear but most will reject and persecutions will increase
against the true saints .

man i was reading posts on another thread . i seen lots of reminders about loving your neighbor
but not a one made mention of HAVING TO BELEIVE JESUS IS THE CHRIST .
its all in vain friend . all of it . The idea that its just no longer necessary to even have to beleive JESUS is the CHRIST
is gaining ground . By means of a false image of the golden rule , HE WHO GAVE US THE GOLDEN RULE , IS BEING DENIED .
satan is slick friend . DO NOT ever for one second believe the lie david . THE GOSPEL stands at the front

Have you ever read the Gospel of John?

To whom was this Gospel written? If it records Jesus' words, we must heed what he said to the Gentile woman in Matthew 15:24: "So he answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” If that is true, and it is, then his words must first be interrupted as applying to Israel. There is no command made toward the Gentile believers admonishing them to keep the Shabbat. There is no evidence that Abram, the Iraqi, kept the shabbat. Only later, God commanded the children (offspring) of Jacob to keep Shabbat. Context and audience are paramount in properly handling/dividing the word of God.
