I didn't see the word "marriage" in the verse.
If you read the entire verse, Jesus was talking about marriage. More specifically about a husband divorcing his wife. He was defining God's design for marriage in that context.

But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.

Can there be two good men married together?

I believe there are plenty right now that follow Jesus and treat others with love and kindness. Their only "sin", according to the bible, is that they're engaged in a sinful relationship.

With that said, who in this world is without sin?

Sure, but we're not commanded to use government to sanction them for their sins.

Being a Christian is not defined by what sins we commit. It's defined by whether we abide in Christ. In order to abide in Him, we must keep His words and walk in obedience to Him. HE is not going to guide us into a sinful relationship. It's about walking by the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16--But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

One of the surprising things about the Gospels is that the time for Pagan converts...Gentiles would be mostly down the road.
Christ makes the point that His ministry was for the lost sheep of Israel.
If you list all the conversions that Christ had, most of them was with the Jews about Judaism.
You can find a few exception when the topic turns to salvation, but it is still generally with Jews.
The sermons are speeches, not two way conversions. We really do not know who was all there.
There was no reason for Christ to talk to the Jews about homosexuality because the Jews were spot on in regard to their condemnation of homosexuality. In fact the Jews were and are homophobic.
Now Paul had to address it because of the Pagan converts looked at in several ways. And the story is kinda funny. The Romans considered polygamy heathenistic. Well the Romans were worse! There marriage were heterosexual but their sex lives were distinctly separate from their wives, they could have male or female lovers. lol Which one was worse?

That's a good and informative post. Thanks for sharing that.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Yes. I try to follow Christ, but I often fall short.

He that does not condemn... condones.

He that condones... compromises.

He that compromises... commits. (In act or in the heart).

Yes, that is a powerful statement.

What should we do to prevent people from engaging in such behavior?

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Oath of political office
I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion and that I will well and faithful discharge the duties of the office of which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Oath of citizenship
"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

They want to call it a revolution ...take up arms against the United States.....burn it down!....attempt to establish anarchy and mob rule...go for it! No more rubber bullets and teargas.....full auto! As Thomas Jefferson said, an occasional revolution is a good thing!

I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. Thomas Jefferson ~~ Monticello
How do Catholics recite the oath of citizenship with a straight face?
