Are you another catholic, because you really are preaching some strange message.Sadly, numerous souls are harmed emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually by other souls in every belief system. It does not bring me joy when I learn of a soul, like your friend, who did not receive the necessary charity from their fellow man/spiritual doctor. Earthly shepherds are held to a higher standard, and will answer to God, not only for the souls they gain for Him but also lose to Satan. May your friend's soul not be wounded further at her own hands due to despair and anger. When we are met with a lack of love, we can use those opportunities to perfect in love.
odd, inconsistent,,, what are you on about the "soul", and you never answered my question...What is "strange?"
Don't fall for it. The deliberately obtuse questions will never end.odd, inconsistent,,, what are you on about the "soul", and you never answered my question...
ApparentlyYou are the one who said you have determined which denomination is closer to teaching the truth, and I naturally asked you to specify. Apparently, you only reveal this to those you think or know will agree with you.
I'm very confident. I'm just not interested in your estimation of my confidence.Since you have determined your denomination is closer to teaching the truth, refusing to specify which denomination for those you think or know will not agree with you does not look like you are confident. One must be prepared and willing to stand up for their convictions and face challenges.
Then I must be a liar. Then you would not refuse to reveal your denomination to anyone for any reason.
Yes I did figure you where wasnt Going, all catholics do is make prisoners of men and steal them away from Christ. I could see where your questions where going. Christianity is about Christ, its about bringing men to Christ so they can find Him for themself, but far to many seek to take them a away from Him and put them in prison, Christ came to set men free, religion is a prison and those in prison are already condemned or they wouldnt be in prisonOur God-given soul/spirit (Gen. 2:7, Ecc. 12:7) is how we are made in His image and likeness (Gen. 1:27; 5:1, Wis. 2:23).
Your question if I am Catholic? You know I am, and thus I did not answer, nor understand why you asked that to begin with. Speaking of questions, in post #352 you assumed I would "seek to condemn." Again, what about me drove you to assume that?
I am intrigued, what have you to hide. Then you would not refuse to reveal your denomination to anyone for any reason.
No but thats what catholism does, men who are not free are already condemned are they not. Christ isnt a religion men seek to make Him one.Are you saying my merely being Catholic is what drove you to assume I would "seek to condemn?"
Its amazing what "christians" do, and your questions did not instill me with hope, they had purpose behind them, and that is what was troubling me. I guess of reading so many catholsim posts I could see where this was headed. Then what about me drove you to assume I would "seek to condemn?"
I'm not playing your sick little game anymore. Bye now. What reason(s) do you have for assuming that is how I would respond upon learning your denomination?
isn’t that the definition of a creed? My church has no creed. Just a statement of detailed beliefs (all of which I firmly believe) that is not enforced except in some instances on the clergy. :)
Yeah, especially the "not enforced" part, right?
”except in some instances on the clergy.”Yeah, especially the "not enforced" part, right?
Why would a church only enforce their beliefs on church leaders (clergy)? What church do you belong to that does that?My experience is exactly the opposite of what you pose here. Just sayin'. My church has no creed. Just a statement of detailed beliefs (all of which I firmly believe) that is not enforced except in some instances on the clergy. I was converted from my childhood faith at age 26. My understanding of what Scripture taught before that was vastly different. :)
The list that is enforced on the clergy is much shorter. The standard for membership is not the same as for employment.”except in some instances on the clergy.”
Local membership handles matters of organization and discipline in accordance with Matthew 18.Why would a church only enforce their beliefs on church leaders (clergy)? What church do you belong to that does that?
