Taking it too literally. Plenty of people hate themselves. In fact, most haters primarily hate themselves. They just project it on others.

I think the Bible is talking about rational people. Psychology services are at an all time high AND overwhelmed by demand.

I’m not a psychiatrist but I don’t think a person of sound mind would truly hate himself or herself. Hating certain aspects of their life is probably what most people who say they hate themselves are talking about. (That’s been my pastoral experience.) Such persons would surely take care of their bodily needs, to a greater or lesser extent.

A person who loves himself or herself little would love their neighbor little.

We should be able to agree that that’s not what Jesus had in mind.

Before conversion, people love themselves selfishly. After conversion, people should love themselves and others sacrificially.

He wants his disciples to love themselves and their neighbor wholly.

I was at the other Christian Forums, but they banned me because I mentioned a few things that I did not know were against the rules (I won't mention them here as to not risk anything). I am absolutely BOILING angry at them, as they picked a terrible time to do that. There's nothing like seeing someone online, and then just not responding and ghosting you.

My mind is in a panicked, lost and horrified state. I hate myself, and I'm so anxious that I'm constantly woozy. I am 35 and have not been with a woman, because I've been busy with life. I then joined the Sosuave forum, which is - for those who don't know - a super macho redpilled alpha male testosterone cold emotionless forum, but they have constant success with women. That place introduced to me how shallow and one-sided the love world is, which has proven that it may be too late for me.

Just when I get help at the other forum, they decide to ban me, and then not tell me if it's permanent or not because half the planet likes to play the "not reply" game. Seriously, who doesn't do that? Every mod at every forum loves doing that, and you can see when they were last online. I am screaming in my head right now, where is this god? Where is this "heals the broken-hearted" that he does? If he doesn't answer, I might have to escape somewhere, because I can hardly even think.

As for that forum, you did mention it in your opening post. I don't know much about that stuff, but from what I do know it bothers me too. I went to briefly check out that forum, saw their "sex" section and I couldn't stay long. Regarding their success rate with women, it's not a good success. Lust, which includes lust of the flesh, is one of the most powerful evils in this world, and it affects men and women in various ways. I'm a 35 yr old female, and I've had boyfriends and sex, but for over 10 years I've been abstinent, because what I thought was love was really lust. The only man I truly loved, in the way God intended one to love another person, was my first love, my high school sweetheart. I still love him like that. Yet, all he wants to do is be single and look at inappropriate images and videos of 20 something year old girls. It crushes me everyday. I'd rather be single than be with a man who lusts the flesh, and not loves the soul, and I pray for him, and all men and women who are affected by lust.

Not everyone there is that bad, as some guys there are helpful and straightforward, but about 90% of those dudes have that bitter, angry, one-sided and resentful "Oh well! Tough! Get over it! Be a man! Survival of the fittest and stuff! Man stuff!! More man stuff!! Rage rage rage!!!" It's all that type-A personality bootstrap narrative crap. Just looking at the front page of that makes me feel sick. This place is telling me to "get an escort", and then mock me when I refuse that. These guys are so alpha that they make fun of you for not wanting to sleep with a stranger, that might have STD, and might call on her buff boyfriend to beat more money out of me when I don't pay her enough. Amazing... just... amazing. Scumbaggery at it's finest. 12/10. It's like they never grew out of high school and still need to sleep with as many women as possible to be cool. My words will never properly describe my hatred for that forum.

People say "looks don't matter!" BzzZZZZTT!! Wrong, they do. They shouldn't, but they do. If I'm a flawed D+ product, why would a woman want that? They could have an A+ product for the same price, or even less. There's what people should want, and then what people want. If looks didn't matter, people wouldn't be treated differently for how they look, which I know firsthand. Anyone who's been part of the Amer- (retch) American school system knows this. Billboards and TV shows wouldn't have the pretty people only if looks didn't matter. Hot women wouldn't get into clubs and drink for free if looks didn't matter.

Some people say, "if you can't see yourself having something, it's not yours." And I don't see myself getting a woman, even if I'm in the happiest mood ever, I just can't see it. I don't believe God had this unique plan for billions of people, that just sounds like fairy tale garbage.

In some ways, sure. No matter what I believe or not believe, the world is where I'm stuck living in. I'm not sure who to listen to, and safe to say that some magical invisible god in the sky is probably not gonna tell me anything either.

That's... preeeeeetty much what I'd expect from a Christian forum. And don't worry, I'm not saying that in a mean way. Mind you, I went to that forum to get advice on how to attract women, not exactly become an alpha that sleeps with everything that moves. I'm serious, that's the "advice" they give. One dude specifically (who I think was the biggest dumb doof in that entire forum) told me to "get a woman off of craigslift and have her pretend to be my girlfriend". Absolutely genius, that's not an awful idea at all! Smart people don't take gambles with escorts and STDs.

As for living for Jesus... That's great and all, but me being a Christian isn't one of the most conventional solutions for my problems. That's not a put-down on the religion. Regardless of if I live for Jesus or not, I'm not gonna become an alpha meathead like those dudes, because I don't have that kind of personality, it would never work for me. And what is sleeping with every woman I come across gonna fix?

Me becoming a Christian does not change the world around me.

I've been kicked off a forum - so this is triggering for me - but I think to myself "there is a part of Heaven that they (those who kicked me off) won't see". Not that I don't want them to enjoy Heaven, but I'm not going to pretend it wasn't wrong (for them). I guess its up to whether they repent or not.

That's good you're right on the mark about what to expect from a Christian forum.

You are wrong on the last point. If you became a Christian the world would change around you. It would hate you as it hated Jesus.

Where ever believers go they bring Light to the world because Christ who is the Light lives inside us. Being a christian may not change the entire world around you, but it will change your perception of the world you live in.
Why are you here on this forum? I mean beyond the issues of being single and wanting companionship?
I believe its because you are desperately searching for the Truth. I am here now to share the Truth with you.

The men you described on that forum as you know are not good examples of how men should be.
Most christian females want a husband who has not slept around with every women that moves.
I do not find that attractive and most belivers will not find that attractive. In fact most christian women would actually prefer there husband not have slept with anyone but them. Virginity is very valauble and its a gift, that fact that you havent given that gift to anyone yet is very special and if I were you I would really stop believing the lies of the world, the lies that are trying to get you to feel shame for still having that gift to give to your future wife.
The darkness, which is the devil has 3 goals. The goals are to steal, kill, and destroy. It says the devil is the father of lies. What he does best is lie, do not believe as the world believes as much of the world is drunk on lies.
I am here to tell you the Truth, because the Truth will set you free.
Christ knows you, sees you, hears you and Loves you, just as you are. He desires you, and wants to call you His.
He has given you a soft heart and a gentle spirit He knew you before you knew Him and He Loves you even if you reject Him.
By accepting Him as your Savior, you will start to feel Christ Love within you. You will begin to hear His voice and speak His Name.
You will be set free from a lot of this turmoil you are under. As Christian we are told to be anxious in nothing but in everything prayer to God.
Christ is our comforter, our healer, and our deliverer, He wants to set you free from a lot of the struggles you have.
Struggles that you have not shared, on this forum, or any other forum. Things you do not speak of or share with anyone.
He sees these things, and He knows what they are, and He says even despite these things He Loves you.
Will you accept His Love into your heart and become His?
